Hi, I've lately become hooked to this technique of manipulating photos and have been inspired by all your photos. I'm just learning, but hope to emulate you the more experienced. Thank you for allowing me to join the group.
Manipolating images e.g. with GIMP today could show, how artists in earlier times have manipulated (in their mind or by using sketches or ...) images in the past in order to construct pictorial conundrums.
In comparison below a very simple manipulation has been used.

I added segments from one of his illustrations to the photo using GIMP. But Holiday himself also manipulated the image: Watch the fingers.
