Group Description

Architectural Details - View this group's most interesting photos on Flickriver

Please post examples of unique, interesting or unusual architectural details. These "close up" images should include: textures, colors, forms, joints, materials, ornament, structure, and other elements of architectural design and construction. This group is not for abstract, minimalist photographs of unknown origin. Details of abstract minimalist buildings are welcome, but the emphasis is on revealing something about the building, its design, construction, materials, assembly, weathering, etc.

Photographs may be documentary, interpretive, graphic, processed, or otherwise manipulated, as long as the architectural detail remains the focus of the image.

Please identify whatever information you have regarding the building including the following:
-- location
-- date of construction
-- architect / designer
-- materials
-- building type
