Well I found out today that several wolf camera store are closing store the area. walmart, walgreens, cvs are no longer sending out black and white, slide or any special orders. Someplaces arent even carriing film anymore some Krogers and some small stores. Finding expired film will be harder. Most people have or will go digital. Film can still be purchased readilly. But most people will shoot color and take it to thier local processing place, black and white will have done at a pro lab, which means higher cost or you have have to process the BW yourself.
The large Kodak lab in the Dallas area by Love field is going out of business for good.

The market has been shrinking for the last 10 years at least. But I also have noticed that my local general store doesn't stock hoop-skirts and corsets anymore either. In fact they haven't for 100 years, but I can still get them mail order.

Just because you can't do things the way you used to doesn't mean what you like is disappearing. Developing isn't drying up completely any more than film is. I do my own, both color and black and white and you can too.
