Is there a way to adjust the range of highlights and shadows affected by the highlight na dshadow sliders?
Sometimes I want to recover only the BRIGHTEST highlights, or I want to brighten only the DARKEST shadows.
I know in photoshop (and rawtherapee) you can increase or decrase the "range" of shadows and highlights that are affected by their respective sliders.
I am trying to 'save" my settings in the Lightroom Publishing Manager for Flickr. I fill in the information, authorize Flickr to acess LR, return to the Publishing Manager and hit SAVE. When I return to the Publishing Manager Flickr is listed as "not saved".
The Publishing Manager shows the account as authorized, but I cannot get the Flickr settings saved.
Any help w...
I am having a hard time with the adjustment brush in situations that SHOULD be easy and wonder if I am using it wrong.
I will often shoot the interior of a room with a window and a view of the outside. It's a square window and I just want to darken the window view outside but not the interior of the room.
When I use the adjustment brush to darken the bright window, ...
With the release of LR 5.4 they have released an app for iPads. I downloaded it last night and it worked perfectly syncing my collections and allowing me to use my ipad for showing and some editing of collections.
And you can voice an opinion in this survey.
The more LR group users that participate, the better chance that we have to improve this group experience or head off another disaster
Just got an XM-1 and shot some RAW files and while downloading I got an error and nothing was downloaded.
I figured that LR just doesn't have the update eventhough I did update LR yesterday to 5.4
And help or ideas?
There has been considerable discussion whether or not to use the X100S lens profile in Lightroom, because the profile is supposed to be embedded in the file.
In Lightroom 5.4, the new lens profile for the X100S seems to correct considerable barrel distortion.
Use the new profile or not?
Appreciate your thoughts and feedback.
I'm a newbie to PS and wonder about doing blending for exposure or focus. I convert my RAW to DNG upon import, my question is, for the edits in PS should I use TIFF or JPG? I know JPG is lossy but once the finished image is done, the working files can be deleted for all I care....there wouldn't be endless re-saving. Conversely, I understand there is more colour detail i...
Thought I'd share this.
I have been using LR for maybe 8 years now as a RAW file converter. I finally got some time to start organizing my junk. I have probably 40,000 images in the LR catalog. There are lots of duplicates and some junk shots. I have keywords on most of the images, but just recently started to put things into collections.
I wanted to create a smart c...
Is there a way after an image being saved on a DVD or FD to import back into LR5 and to be able to go back into its history? I save three versions in the end. A RAW file, a DNG and a finished jpeg. Once its deleted from LR the DNG from a DVD still has 16 bits, but there is no way of going backwards to rework. Hope this makes since before I get rid of my old finished work.
I want to add 500px to my publish service in LR5. I go to find more sevices online but can't seem to find 500px. Can anyone tell me how I can get 500px into my publish services. thanking you in advance. Graham
I have problem with pictures I upload using Lightroom Publish. Photos I lately uploaded appear washed out (desaturated) and B&W without contrast compering to what I see on my computer. Also photos appear over-sharp. My comp is PC, monitor is calibrated. I did a test and upload a photo too Google + and photo looks like I see on my computer. I wonder if someone have the s...
I made a mistake recently and bought a copy of LR 5 as it was on "special" offer at Amazon. I forget that I had not bothered to upgrade from LLR 4 as non of my current PCs meet the minimum requirements for LR 5..
I haven't quite decided on the specification for my new PC but it probably will be a laptop with a full HD screen (1920 x 1080 ), 1-2TB drive, quad core proces...
I primarily use presets for most of my editing work.
Until now, I used to set the white balance manually or code custom values in my presets.
Now I have a slightly different requirement - To increment the "As Shot" value by a specific number (say 200K).
Any pointers on how to go about this?
I found keywords called IncrementalTemperature & IncrementalTint on the...
For those who never use the Lightroom Adjustment presets and would like to have there presets at the top of the list I finally figured out how to do it.
You may not like it but it works for me. Make a new folder and name it with a name that begins with a letter before L in the alphabet. Now it will be at the top of the list. When you save your preset instead of saving it...
