I had always had some trouble here and there with LR lagging when it comes to dragging sliders and, particularly, using the adjustment brush. LR6 seemed quite a bit worse in that regard. I had tried switching to a wired mouse once before with 5.7 running but I wasn't totally sure if that was the isse. With things being worse running LR6, I decided to give it another try an...
I am currently running a 2011 MBP and OS X Lion 10.7.5
Adobe said I am required to run 10.8 or higher..
I am never really into upgrading my computer as it's running pretty well now and as I need it for work if it goes down due to an upgrade I am hosed..
So do you recommend I upgrade to a newer OS and if so which one?
I am currently running LR 5.7 and would like to jo...
I have always tagged friends and family in our Lightroom catalogs. I look forward to using face recognition to speed this task going forward.
One minor concern has arisen. If you X-out an unnamed person, LR appears to remove all those related face regions from its index (fair enough). However, I cannot find any means to ask LR to rescan EXISTING photos to find additiona...
Photoshop Camera Raw and Lightroom use the same engine.
Is it neccesary to hold both of this folders? Which one is the main?
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom\Resources
And i use only one camera and 2-3 different lens. I want to remove camera and lens profiles that i will never use. Is this possible?
For those shooting RAW, do you typically just leave it set to auto on your camera? I have a Nikon D3100, and it seems to get it pretty close. The odd thing is, when I'm processing photos in LR, it seems to want to make the images very warm if I use LR's auto WB.
For example, today I shot some planes against a blue sky. When I import the images, the as shot WB is a li...
I'm sure this has been brought up at some point, but which to you prefer? I'm shooting Nikon (raw), but general comments are welcome, too. I've been using neutral for a while, but I've found that I almost always bump up clarity, vibrance and contrast, so maybe using standard would give me a better starting point? IMO, the less processing I have to do, the better.
Just wondering has anyone purchased the latest iteration of Apples Mac mini to run Adobe Lightroom on. Like most people I was disappointed that the quad-core processor is gone as I was holding out buying the previous version in anticipation for this update.
My budget allows for a high spec mac mini or a lower spec 21" iMac
3.0GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i7
Leaving Nikon's Active D-lighting turned on. I noticed that whenever I used auto tone in LR, it almost always makes my pictures brighter, sometimes a lot brighter. I shoot in raw, so I didn't think it mattered, but I just read a bunch of posts/articles online saying that D-lighting will cause images to be underexposed if you use third party software, like LR.
I guess ...
Hi, I did something wrong moving folder with pictures which result with pictures in new location without processing information. My pictures are sorted by year/month/day. By my mistake I imported April pictures to April sub folder located outside 2015 year folder. When I noticed that I did try to move "drag and drop" that April sub folder to year 2015 folder. For some rea...
Lr still does not support the D7200.
How can I import my NEF files, convert to DNG and import into Lr?
I am using Lr V5. I also have Photoshop 6 but never use it (lets not go there). Is there anything I can do in Ps to convert the NEFs to DNG then import into Lr?
ATG gave great tips for working professionals:
* Mac & PC would be no problem
* If you are a ATG Hasselblad users, load up ATG software
* If you are a ATG Leica users, load up ATG software
* If you are a Hasselblad HD, load up Hasselblad Phocus
* If you are a Canon users, load up ATG/Canon EOS Utility
* If you are a Nikon users, load up Nikon Camera Control Pro2
I've done some searches and I see that others have had the same, or similar, problems in the past. I was not able to find a workable solution. I would appreciate any help in solving the problem.
- Sometime in the last 6 months the Lightroom to Flickr connection got broken.
- I try to authorize Flickr in Lightroom and the following happens:

In May, I'll be in the Shetlands and the Scottish Highlands trying to see what gets in front of my camera. I know there are more than a few Brits in this group. If there are any interested in meeting a real Texan, let me know and we can try to meet up for a photo adventure.
In LR there are many different areas where you can develop and save presets. We all know and I hope occasionally use the primary ones in the develop module, They are also available in other places. I personally have ones setup for exporting photos intended for different places. For example Flickr, Facebook, printing at Costco, etc. I also have added a few to the adjustment...
Is it possible to save a copy of cropped images as a new file, not linked to the master? [Essentially make a second master, I guess.]
I would like this option to make printing and publishing of cropped images a bit easier.
