Stiff mains'l raise

Hi Guys,

My mains'l took some persuading to run up the groove today, I guess it hasn't been used for a few months and the luff is dry, am I right in thinking it can be 'greased' with bees wax to make it slide better or is there a better alternative solution?

Thanks
Richard

I suggest giving the luff a spray with silicone lubricant available from chandleries. Much cleaner

Don't use grease. It will attract muck. Silicon spray.

I have been using WD-40 PTFE lub spray on all things on the boat, Genny luff, main sail slides, in fact most things as it is really good.
