I've been using a tube of Seelastic flexible sealing compound for the last 20 years or so. I love the stuff as it never really sets but accepts movement, so it has had many uses on all the boats that I have built and maintained for the last 40 odd years. (My first tube lasted 20 years as well). Now I need a new one, I can't find any. Seems that Expandite has become Fosroc, but no internet searches that I've made mention Seelastic. Does anyone have any knowledge of the stuff and can recommend a 21st Century alternative?

Obviously it was too good and has been replaced by a range of products which can only be used on one type of material, with a shelf life of two months (if you are lucky).

You need butyl rubber sealant, available at very low cost. Skins but never sets. Everbuild 145 Butyl Rubber Sealant in Grey is one.
