Floor boards - varnish, oil or epoxy?

Hi all, I have cleaned up the floor boards - they appear to be teak laminate, - how do I make sure they don't rot in the bilge? Varnish seems to be a fairly temporary protection - what is recommended?

we made knew ones and varnished them, then laid those super absorbent mats on top to protect them, they seemed to last quite well

If you are going to vanish them i would epoxy them first then apply the varnish.
