Much of my baseline knowledge about SEO comes from this tutorial from The bits I have excerpted have come from this tutorial.

Of course this was written before the World Wide Web was turned upside down by the advent of Flickr and other Web 2.0 communities/technologies.

I know it's been mentioned already in a thread here, but the cre8asite forums are full of interesting reading.

Cool I just checked it out, did not know about it.

so much of this info about search and indexing, etc is purely anecdotal, yet that is the only way to find out, trial and error. And do to the indexing time line, it can take a long time to prove a theory.

That is one of the reasons I started this group. Since links and linking is half of SEO, and relevancy of links is super super important, this is a way to do some link networks with my fellow Flickr crew.

I had to make the group fully public, cause there seems to be a glitch in the Public by Invite function of Flickr groups.

If you don't have a blog or a site outside of Flickr, start one now and join the fun.
