Noise reduction

Gig photography is great but it's a constant battle to find enough light for decent shutter speeds (even at f1.8). The result is that I end up shooting at very high iso, which means the photos come out with loads of noise.

I recently passed a shot onto a press photographer that I met and he worked wonders at reducing the noise in the shot. I was wondering what software you guys would recommend most for removing noise from shots?

Try Neat Image (demo version for non commercial use, available for free) - tried it for the first time last night and it worked wonders with my photos taken hand held at 3200 ISO on Fuji F30. See Kate Rusby gig pics at www.flickr.com/photos/ksm

For anyone else still wondering, I've had good luck with Picture Code's Noise Ninja (self-proclaimed "gold standard"). www.picturecode.com/
