Indy Photo Coach 3:06am, 10 December 2008
The rain for the past couple days hasn't exactly made any of us excited about shooting... but it's time to get back out there. With water as your subject, show us your best shots of H2O.

Ponds, water drops, icicles, rivers, rain, anything.

On a side note, for some neat inspiration, check out Martin Waugh at

Here's a reminder how to post to the assignment:
1. Become a Flickr member.

2. Take a self-portrait and upload it to your Flick account

3. On that photo's page, click the "all sizes" tab

4. Choose "Small"

5. Under the photo, it will say "Copy and paste this HTML into your webpage" - Select and copy that text.

6. Go to THIS post and in the "reply" box, paste the HTML script. Feel free to include a few comments about the shot after it.

7. Use the 'preview' function to make sure it worked, or click "post now" to submit it to the discussion!

i'm confused...does the water pic have to be a self portrait? or was that just used as an example? i hope this pic qualifies...

a world unto itself.

this was taken on a camping trip to lake summit, in henry county.

Agnis-not a self-portrait - that was our very first assignment and I think the "coach" forgot to change the language. Great photo for this assignment. Camping in December? ha ha ;o)

these assignments come way too fast...I'm stewing up some ideas!
agnisflugen Posted 10 years ago. Edited by agnisflugen (member) 10 years ago
i would elaborate upon my idea, but congress passed a law last year making it illegal for me to take, or post any photos of me near any body of water, as there would be minimum clothing involved, and that would be considered cruel and unusual punishment.....hahahaha.....seriously though.....i need to start exercising and eat better.....i was going up the stairs the other day, and my knees were popping! i know they say your metabolism changes when you get 30, but i didn't know it would suck this bad.....

Mississippi Blues

This is a photo that I took in Tunica, Mississippi when I got bored from gambling. I went outside behind the casino and this is what I found!

the other water shot

Single light with a green gel spliting the lamp so the tungston light would leak through from the edges not covered by the gel. Shot with a reversed 18-70mm lens at 3.5
