I am a new member of this group, having only just found it in Flickr, but I claim to be an old hand in aspects of the work of the UN, having been an active member of the UK UN Association for over 50 years and a vice-chair of its Board of Directors for about 7. Moreover I have seen the importance of the MDG's on site when I visited Indo-china (Viet Nam, Cambodia and Thailand) in 2003.

I am, therefore very interested in the aims and activities of this group. However, some of the postings to the pool seem to me to be completely irrelevant to the MDGs and merely to have been posted here to attract attention. For instance there is an attempt to publicise the ill-informed agitation against Flickr's new filter system. I do not see that such pictures and some others currently in the pool have any relevance and so detract from the aims of the group.
