The goal this time is 3D letters with their primary means of support at the bottom.

These examples are great (except the E should preferably be frontwards):
a E g

These letters are not quite good enough. They are 3D, but not supported solely at the bottom. The N is so close -- I'd take it if it had only the lower support rail, but the upper rail blows it:
S U N

I think this theme might be harder, so maybe we'll make adjustments if we get stuck somewhere.

I posted one of these - but had second thoughts -- it's on "legs" might be ok but wasn't sure

Short answer: OK

Long answer: One might ask how is this different from the 'N' I rejected above? Well, I did say the 'N' was so close after all. My final decision is related to hypothetical pondering about the big yellow 'g' above. How would I feel if it had a stabilizing strut or wire attached to the very top? Answer: it'd still be just fine. And to me, this 'A' seems just slightly more like that, whereas the 'N' seems slightly more like it's "mounted" at both top and bottom.

Sometimes I spend way too much time thinking about this stuff.

Your prodigious pondering much appreciated :-)

Pity this C is already posted!

OK, check out this C. I think its support comes from all the sticks on the bottom. Does it pass party?

If so, then who's got a D?

FYI, this was part of a display of florist techniques done by apprentices in this field. The work those young people did was just over the top. Like this C.

the C is too cool to resist.

NOT easy.

so it seems. very worrying that we are stuck on mere D. i think i'll give it more time, though.

Another example of "already posted"...

D
not exactly "found in the wild" - but if it helps get things moving again I could add...

About a week for the D. Hopefully we won't have too many more long delays.

I realise I should have been able to catch a D in the same place as the F...

J: The former J is a free standing circle with a J on it. The latter J has to be the one.
Eva the Weaver PRO 7 years ago
What Leo said. I have refrained from seveeral of the former kind.

You're all correct about those J's. I must have been asleep earlier.

Here's a P in a circle, but nevertheless freestanding:
P
... and already in our pool. :-/

I have a P that matches that (good) J, but I'm refraining in hopes of something different.
Leo Reynolds PRO 7 years ago
The P is only attached at the bottom. The upright to the right is not attached.

Qq (if the P is acceptable)

Let's see if anyone else can find a Q. If we get stuck, I can make a journey over to the artwork that includes the Q that cast this shadow:

Q

It's not quite exactly vertical, but it'll do in a pinch. It's down at this guy's feet:

How about this Q?
Q by urbanmkr

the problem being that it has three means of support, none of which are at the bottom...
