Please remember, no national parks. National parks are different from national forests. Yosemite, Lassen Volcanic, Sequoia, Joshua Tree National Parks are all beautiful places but are not national forests.

Group DescriptionCalifornia has some of the most beautiful forests in the world. If you have visited, camped, hunted, or hiked in a California National Forest please share your pictures.
Pictures must be from a California National Forest. Please, NO National Parks.(Yosemite, Lassen Volcanic, ect.) While these places are beautiful they are not a National Forest.
Post pictures from any of the 18 National Forests in California; Mendocino, Shasta-Trinity, Six Rivers, Klamath, Modoc, Lassen, Plumas, Tahoe, Tahoe Basin, Eldorado, Stanislaus, Sierra, Inyo, Sequoia, Los Padres, Angeles, San Bernardino and Cleveland.
Wilderness areas are fine, just be sure to name the National Forest they are a part of. Parts of the Toiyabe National Forest that lie within California are ok as well. (Carson and Bridgeport Districts)
Please name the forest and any mountains, lakes, streams, rivers, meadows, ect..
Check out the California National Forest website at: www.fs.fed.us/r5/forests.html
I'm not a professional photographer by any means. I just take pictures on my camping trips to preserve the memories. We are not here to pass judgement on how people's pictures could be better. People who are great photographers can offer advice as long as it is done in a polite fashion.
