Local Ballater residents build a cairn to commemorate the Diamond (60 years) Jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth II, 1952 to 2012.

The 'Jubilee Cairn' consists of 60 stones gathered by locals from the hills surrounding Balmoral Castle and the 'Royal Warrant' village of Ballater.

Local Ballater residents build a cairn to commemorate the Diamond (60 years) Jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth II, 1952 to 2012.

The 'Jubilee Cairn' will consist of 60 stones gathered from the hills surrounding Balmoral Castle and the 'Royal Warrant' village of Ballater.

The 'Royal Warrant' village of Ballater, has historical links with Great Britain's Royal Family, stretching back over 160 years when Queen Victoria & Prince Albert were first introduced to Balmoral Castle some 8 miles away to the West.
