I've got a lot of JPGs from 2013, and some unprocessed RAWs from 2014 which have the power station in them. Most are from Attenborough Nature Reserve, some are intentionally of the power station, and some it's just present.
I've not uploaded a lot of them to Flickr (I tend to only upload a small selection of what I shoot in general). I'm more than happy processing the...
My Daughter is getting married at Thrumpton Hall next year and would like to send out a "save the date" postcard with a picture of the power station on it?
Can anyone direct me to what you guys think are the best 6 or so photos in your group - and would anyone object if we used one of them to make about 60 postcards?
The power station now belongs to Eon UK (at www.eon-uk.com ).
My wife and I have always fancied trying to arrange some kind of visit for a look around her 'cloud machine' and when we lived at the marina we never quite got around to it. I understand, in the past, thaey used to run school trips and the like.
If I make contact with them and enquire, and they say 'yes',...
I used to go past these every night for 3 years and always found them beautiful in a bizarre sort of way ....anybody know what the other ones are called at the Toyota junction on the A38/A50
While on my boat at Sawley Lock yesterday afternoon ,
I heard 2 loud pops followed by a loud roar not unlike the sound of a 757 hitting reverse thrust when landing at East Midlands Airport except this roar continued for half an hour or more.

Motorists have chosen Spaghetti Junction as the UK's best-known sight seen from a motorway.
But in at number 7 is:
Ratcliffe on Soar Power Station M1 - between junctions 24 and 25 near Nottingham!
I've just uploaded 22 pictures to the pool
They were taken from all around the power station

I havn't labled them yet so if you think you know, post a comment
on each one , then i'll tell you later who was right
Good Luck !

Here's his website. He has a great shot of Ratcliffe-on-Soar Power Station that my sister has a print of.
(I have no vested intere...
According to the local news this morning our favourite power station is currently closed because of an industrial accident. It's not been fired up for a couple of weeks after two workers were scalded during some routine maintenance work.
The site produces three per cent of the UK's electricity when it's in operation.
