Group DescriptionOne of the largest brownfield regeneration projects in the South West of England, the Bath Western Riverside area covers 70 acres (28 hectares) of land to the west of Bath City Centre, adjoining the River Avon, it will be within the World Heritage Site.
The aim of the group is to capture images of the site or relating to the site*, past, present and future as well as discussion and debate.
*So pictures of other Crest Nicholson and other 'urban regeneration' developments are welcome too - we've one just down the road - Bristol Harbourside
A large part of the site (that which is now largely empty) used to house the world famous 'Stothert and Pitt' engineering works. They made dockside cranes, many of which remain in use around the world.
The Somerset and Dorset and Midland Railways used to cross through the site to the station at Green Park so again, any pictures connected in any way are very welcome.
Finally, I should mention that you might need to become a member of the group to be able to see all the pictures in the group, not all may be 'public'.
