the fact that there aren't any in the greater los angeles area.

The fact that each WalMart stocks only 4 carry baskets per store, so they can force people to use push carts and therefore probably buy more. And when I say this is my favorite thing, what I mean is it will surely drive me to a killing spree someday.

Fortunately I rarely shop there.

PS VonW's obviously fake favorite thing is my actual favorite thing.

there's one on the east 60 past rosemead - used to drive by it on the way to fullerton - but i don't go there anymore- wallmart is evil ---wallmart is evil-
i used to go to the one in iowa city to use the digital photo services - they were the first to have that aladin system where ya could self serve yerself phot orders from floppy disk - which is what's in my camera

The fact that one can find several in almost every greater metropolitan area, except Los Angeles.

double true. de ja vu.

well i'll be a would-be LA wal-mart shopper...

Wal Mart own ASDA over here. I love the place except for:
The seafood tastes like paper.
The vegetables go mouldy within four hours.

Other than that, it's fantassstic. And the most fascinating people shop there.
judicious power [deleted] 12 years ago
yes.. I love it here for the same reasons maddog. they stock CRAP, and people buy it.. I live in a rural area and walmart is sadly the best thing going.. if i need clothing i have to drive almost 2 hours to find something decent.. it is horrible, thank god i live near Washington DC and Philadelphia.. I agree with you antomic they should open a Wal-mart in LA possibly the downtown area, talk about a ghost town. *crickets*
another thing about wal-mart that i love is the fact that it is really an american thing to shop there.. as americans we value low prices.,

that I've never set foot inside a WALMART or an ASDA (walmart own these in the UK).

Cor, never being in one (we have The Warehouse here), I do like the following - you can buy guns there, they have special Walmart CD's with all the swearing censored out and if you're a musician and you speak out about their gun policy, they censor the whole CD.

Fucking brilliant, I wish we had that here!

My favourite thing about Walmart is that it has not been allowed to set up shop in my city. (Yet.)
judicious power [deleted] 12 years ago
O they will soon enough revertabrate.. everyone will be wal-marts bitch soon enough
Ice Nine .. I think that is a great idea that they sell guns.. just yesterday I saw a boy not more then 13 years old walking down the street in my town with a rifle on his back ( in a case) it was joy to see a child exercising his american right to bear arms..If musicans are so arrogant and pig headed to think that they can speak out againts guns then they should be banned from selling their commie crap at Wal-mart.

Ice, are you from NZ? I love The Warehouse.

*jingling* "Come to the Warehouse, the Warehouse, where everyone get a bar-gain!"

Walking thru at 2:00 AM. I often wonder where the people one sees at that time of the night actually work or even spend their days. They are a very odd lot. I always want to take my camera with me but I am afraid that I would develop the film and see on one there. Plus it is quite hard to use a 4by5 as a pocket camera.
various zoo [deleted] 12 years ago
I swear they're doing genetic mutation experiments on humans in wal-mart between midnight and 6:00 am.

If its good for business, its good for America.

That reminds me of a great Kliban cartoon.

Maddog, you knew I was in NZ.

And The Warehouse has revamped too. I still hate it. But at least I know Mr Tindall supports the local sex workers.

Totalvo, I'd be more impressed if the 13 year old was toting a M-60 or something similar.

i like their lay-a-way policy you know when you can't quite afford that 7 dollar shirt you can make payments.

I HATE Wal-Mart!
With a seething passion that oozes from within me.
They are a horrible, terrible, awful corporation that treat's their employees like absolute shit, especially if they are women.
I refuse to give them any of my money.
I HATE that place!

Oh, and they edit the movies they sell, too. Bastards.
maddog. 12 years ago
But do they have changing rooms where the curtains don't shut properly?

Ice, do you really think I have some form of memory retention? I'm very absentminded.
