Group Description

Weekly Themes is a MODERATED THEME-BASED group bringing you a challenge to take weekly pictures based on a specific theme.
Every week we will create a new group of themes on the discussion thread, then you shoot your photo based on that theme, post it on the beginning of EACH DAY according to GMT-3 timezone. TAG your picture "Weekly Themes" and the new theme. Members must follow the RULES

Group Rules

HELLO! ... and welcome to the Weekly Themes group!

Please be aware that Weekly Themes is a moderated and theme-based group. If your photo (we do not accept any other type of media) doesn't meet the specifications of the daily theme, if it is posted on a different day, your photo will be removed.

1. Your photo must be related to the new weekly theme
Each week a new group of theme is posted in the discussion thread on Sunday. Members have until the following day to take their best shot relating to the new theme.

2. Your photo may only be posted on right dayaccording to the Flickr clock which follows GMT-3.
That means you may post your photo anytime during the 24-hour period between Day 00:00:01 GMT-3 and Day 00:00:01 GMT-3 no matter what time zone you live in. Check this link see WHAT TIME IT IS

3. Your photo must be tagged
We make a point of asking you to tag your photo with "Weekly Themes" and the new theme. Tags help us easily identify all photos for a specific theme. If the tags aren't there, it is likely you will have your photo removed from the pool.

4. Only ONE photo is allowed per day.
So please choose your best one! It is not acceptable to post one photo and then switch it out later for one you like better. No diptychs, triptychs or collages are permitted (unless that is the week's theme).

5. Only photographs may be submitted to the pool.
Scanned images or images solely created by computer programs are not permitted. Photo manipulation is permitted as long as the starting point is CLEARLY a photograph.

6. Only submit content to the group that you have created.
This means do not steal photographs that others have created and pass them off as your own. Anyone who is found to be doing so will be banned from the group and the information passed on to the Flickr Abuse team.

7. No reposting of photos to get a better "position" or more views.
If we see that your photo has been reposted to gain an "advantageous position" it will be removed from the pool. Continued reposting will result in being banned from the group. (We do know mistakes can happen, so please notify a moderator if you mistakenly removed your photo from the pool and want to repost it.)

It is often asked if we permit "old" photos to be used. Here is the official answer:

It is EXPECTED that members will take a NEW photo the week the theme has been posted. However, sometimes life gets in the way of taking a photo specifically for any given theme. People get sick, or have computer/camera malfunctions, no internet access, or are traveling, etc. With that caveat in mind, it is okay to post a photo from your archives as long as there is no other option to take or post a new photo that week. This means repeated use of archived photos is not allowed.

8. No mandatory likes, No mandatory comments, No classifications! Enjoying the images is what the Group is about and interacting with others....
