Music will be performed by "Marc Gartband" ... too much scheduling difficulty coordinating with Southwire.
If you are not familiar with Marc Gartman and his various projects, you can hear him play on Mondays at Carmody's as "Marc Gartband"... He also plays with "Too Many Banjo's" and Coyote among other projects.
It is very good music... although it would have been cool to have Southwire play, Marc and his projects are awesome and good all around music.

By the way, Beaner's room upstairs is open and I booked it for 6:00 for the "business of photography" meeting so we can do both that night!
(1) Are posters/flyers being printed? (2) I think that we should. Even if it were a simple 8.5x11... (3) We should also hire Adam of Transistor to deliver and post ~40 different sites around the Twin Ports... cost? $20.00. The cheapest thing that twenty bucks will pay for. (4) I may not be able to attend based upon scheduling conflict with kids... however, I would appreciate the opportunity to participate by telephone... (5) There are newspapers in Two Harbors, Superior and Cloquet. It might be useful to forward a press release to them. (6) Suggest to Jason that this opening be put on his website, if it is not already. (7) Press release to the Duluth Art Institute, and that other photo nerd group the Brian belongs to. (8) Other... TBD
1) Name of your piece 2) Effect used to create "beyond the mind's eye" (long exposure, dbl exposure, etc..) 3) Price 4) Your name 5) Any contact info you want to have on there, number, web site, email... 6) Prints available?
Should be in the DNT this week, Im assuming it will be in the Wave on Thursday. Also not sure if it will be the whole release or a glorified calandar entry. The 'deez's whimsical smokey pic will be in there though....
i'm sooooooo not ready also. i called justin at like 11pm last night in a panic.
as of right now they only thing i have is a frame- and it doesn't even have a wire attached to it. lol i need to get up to Michael's today.
but i have food!!! sandwich bites and mini cheescakes with blackberries on top! i didn't really know how much food so there will be around 120 sandwich bites and 60 or so cheesecakes. does that sound okay?
nate- do you think Beaner's would provide napkins, or should i pick some of those up?
Shawn, when did you order yours? I ordered mine last Sunday night and had them Tuesday morning, with the free shipping setting. Or, at least I would have had them if UPS would have came to my apartment and not my neighbors... Yould think the guy would be able to count to 3, and know the difference between a 2 and a 3. But, what can you do?
I also do not have a wire on my frame, but I have a hanging kit someplace (celeste, is it still at your place?).
MMMMMM cheesecake with blackberries.... I think you should bring those for the hanging party...
Set up will be the night of the 30th (Tuesday) around 4:30 - 5ish
I just realized the 4:30-5ish hours. I have this think called my job that will be keeping me busy during that time frame(unless I can drag myself out of bed early tomorrow), so if I show up sometime closer to 6-ish, will that be amazing or not?
Thanks to Nate for putting in a ton of work organizing and promoting, Rich for commissioning the band, Natalie and Tina for putting out some killer finger foods and to Everyone else who hung their work. It was all great, this show is really interesting and everyone that came seemed to enjoy themselves.
