Welcome to the largest group on flickr devoted exclusively to train stations and depots. This is a tightly moderated group so PLEASE READ THE RULES! The focus is on the station, NOT the train. Please, only post photos of train stations, not things in or around train stations, nor pictures taken from train stations. No more than two photos of any station unless there is really something unique to see in a 3rd or 4th view. Thanks.
Group Description"Train Stations - the older the better offers the largest collection of individual train stations in the world on flickr. Search for your favorite here and if we don't have it, take your own shot and post. Photos of old demolished stations are welcome too. Please identify the location and try to include the station namesign in photos. Remember, the focus is on the station, not the train.
Photos NOT appropriate for posting on this group include those where the primary subject is an object inside or around a train station, such as a light fixture, drinking fountain, toilet, stairway, rail, or bench, etc. Photos of trains are allowed only if a station or depot is visible in the shot.
Don't just post and run. Take a look at some of the photographs that other members have posted here. There is an amazing amount of information and history supplied with many of the pictures. And of course, all flickr members appreciate your comments!
