Macro Mondays is a MODERATED and THEME-BASED group challenging you to take theme-specific macros. A NEW THEME appears in the discussion thread each week. Shoot your macro based on this new theme and post it beginning MONDAY according to GMT/UTC time. TAG your photo with "Macro Mondays" and the new theme. Here are the RULES--members are expected to follow them.
This group discussion is for members only.
Group DescriptionTHIS IS A MODERATED AND THEME-BASED GROUP
(Your Photos Must Follow the Theme of the Week)
This group is for all macro-loving flickrites! The concept is simple: take a macro photo based on the current weekly theme and send it to this group on Monday. A new theme is posted on Tuesday, giving you plenty of time to come up with your very best unique and creative photo. On the following Monday, post your AWESOME macro for everyone to see!
Group RulesThis is a MODERATED group. Please do NOT join this group unless you agree to follow these simple rules which are explained here in more detail:
Members are expected to adhere to the group rules below. Non-conforming photos will be removed from the group. Repeated, flagrant or serious violations will result in removal or banning of the violating member.
1.Follow Flickr's rules and community guidelines
Only post photos you have created and that meet Flickr's guidelines as a "safe" photo. Do not engage in abusive behaviour toward administrators, moderators and fellow members. Members who are abusive, who plagiarize or who commit other serious violations of Flickr's terms and guidelines will be banned from the group and reported to Flickr's abuse team.
2.Conform to the weekly theme
Read the theme description carefully and completely for a full description including any restrictions. Do not rely on the theme tag alone to fully describe the theme.
3.Only post macros
The standard definition of a macro is 1:1 reproduction ratio, i.e. a"35 mm equivalent" size of 24x36mm. We encourage members to post "true" macros but allow photos up to an absolute maximum of 75mm/3".
4.Make your photo after the theme is announced
No archived or old photos are permitted. Check that your camera's date/time stamp is correct and the EXIF data is visible.
5.Tag your photo properly
Tag your photo with "Macro Mondays" and the theme tag from the weekly theme description. You may use the "phrase in quotes" tagging style or the SingleJoinedWord style and may add or omit a preceding hashtag (#). Cutting and pasting the tag from the weekly theme description is the safest method. Just be sure to tag.
Non-tagged photos will be removed by our automated tools when the pool closes. Removed photos cannot be re-added.
6.Single photographs only
You may submit one photo to the group each week. Select your best one! Your source must be a photograph. Limited editing is allowed as long as the source is clearly a photograph. Unless otherwise specified by the weekly theme description, diptychs, triptychs, collages, drawings and screenshots are not permitted.
Swapping one photo for a different one or removing and reposting to move your photo to a higher location is prohibited.
8.Don't start new discussions
Questions, comments and conversations can be added to the ongoing "General Questions" discussion
If you do not follow these rules your image will be removed from the pool.
Repeated failure to observe these rules will result in you being banned from this group.
