I am finding God.......whoever or whatever that may be.
And i'm starting late on recording my life. I think i have been scared. But now, more than ever... I need to do this

Well, hello, la petite fille, or may I call you Camille? Never too late to begin here, and congratulations on starting to record your life. I'm not sure you'll find God here (Bunaen might be the closest, but he is some way off ;-) ), but you will find interesting people from all over the world, unlikely people who have become good friends, who will encourage you, and applaud your efforts. I see you have already begun to introduce yourself to some of them. Enjoy, have fun, and I look forward to seeing you around.

Rob, thank you so very much for making me feel welcome. It means alot to me. This group seems like its a close knit family!
Welcome and goodluck

Hey, another San Diegan to add to our Family! Welcome to the group! And you wanna hear something funny? When I introduce myself (in person), 90% of the time it goes something like this:
"Hi, my name is Emil."
"Camille?"
"No, Emil."
"It's nice to meet you, Camille."
Sigh. "No. It's Emil, uh-meal."

So, hello Camille. It's nice to meet you.

And yeah, keep your eyes closed (figuratively)--"God" likes to sneak up on people. ;-)

We are close knit and you are now part of the fabric....

Welcome, you're not late, you came just in time :-)

It ended up being a good day.

EDIT: the night ended in tears as it has been for the past week.

Is that from today???
How are you two not plastered with sweat?!

I'll add my welcome to the group as well - you'll find it fun here.

Helping the admins here - in the post, you should add the date...that way we can keep up with you better. Remember that "4-1-07" to usa is April Fools but internationally it is Jan 4 !

Hello and welcome!

Lovely to have you here to join in the fun {:->

Hi Camille - welcome to the group. Your photo above of the couple is cool. There is a sweetness to it and yes, I believe you ended up having a good day. I also agree with Ebilflindas - how the heck are you not plastered in sweat (I to, am a southern Californian). It's just been wicked here.

I would say that I have found God in spades in this group. He's shown up when He reminds me to stop and pay attention each day (so I can take a photo), and he's shown up in the faces and comments of the people in this group. Read any number of our threads to see what I mean. Enjoy and happy photographing!

Thank you everyone, again. I am so thankful for being here!

To jrayfarm and ebilfindas, It was sunset...but it was still almost 90 degrees... we had just come back from the zoo where i was most definately plastered in sweat! Haha

What seemed to be a bad day turned out to be alright. Class went by quickly. I had soup and salad at DZ Atkins, a wonderful jewish deli. I went to herb club... this months presentation was about gardening by the moon...really quite interesting. Hope all is well for every body.

Cheers

Welcome welcome!

Late arrivals are always fun. You're right, this is a close knit group, but the cool thing is- new people are always welcome.

I came in in mid-April myself.

There's definitely some profound shots here... like the last- makes me think of an Angel that lost her wings.
Goldie Saint Onge 11 years ago
to jallen: I changed the picture from the wings to another... i actually deleted the wings all together but i think im going to upload it again. they are kind of beautiful. thank you for your warm welcome :)

Continue to post a range of very nice pictures. Sept 7 is particularly attractive, and a little mysterious.

Didn't do alot today... School was alright, I am doing very well in all of my classes. I took a picture for the Style section of the newspaper.. Now all I have to do is get headshots of all of the "staff teams"... Though they will never sit still long enough for me to even get an interview! Sigh... I also think i lost a part to my tripod i need to connect my camera to it.....I am off to hunt for it. Hope all is good with everyone :)

OK - reading with interest your selection of a lens...and lens cozy. Just a note...be sure the yarn is lint free or you can be sure some of the little lint buggers will end up on the wrong side of the glass. I had used knitted socks in the past with huge problems...switched to leather and nevermore the problem...this is true less with prime lenses than zooms which extend...

She watercolors?

wow, wonderful photos... knitted lens cozy! how cool is that?

Me, I stick my lens into a corona beer cooler... good protection. :)

But a knitted lens cozy.. that's just too cool.
Goldie Saint Onge 11 years ago
Ohh!! I have never ever thought of a cooler! That makes such great sense. Thank you to Collard Greens for giving me a heads up on this possible problem.. Hopefully with the lens cap and end cap on at all times before it goes in the bag i will not get a little fiber in it! If not...i may have to try something else.

You're all so nice. :)

Had to cook dinner fairly quicky, I am so tired lately.....Made fried rice for the entire family. In class we are assigned to write two things we are thankful for over one week. Today I am thankful for the promise of shade and the sweetest kisses from my rat.

:) Hope everyone is well!
