Day one and I almost forgot to take a picture. This is my painfully ugly shower curtain. It fits in with my ugly bathroom. Yes, the thing on the bottom is my tub. What were they thinking when they picked that color?

Darin, Sonia, and Kim at our department holiday party. I like the idea of having it after the holiday rush. The Shoreham Hotel did a good job. This is one of the few pics I took that night. I handed my camera over to Kim early in the evening and she snapped most of them.

to PutYourFlareOn ,

I like penguins too. Something about them just makes me smile.

The shower curtain looks better here than in real life. It has tiny pin hole in it that give it an odd glow when there is light coming through the bathroom window.

- 1.jan: You must be pretty wild to have shower curtains like this. Mine were purchased for Tristan, and have dolphins on them!
- 2.jan: A shopping trolley like this has been in my street now for over a month - each time I think I should take it home with me - but each time I realise that I have NOTHING to do with a shopping trolley!
- 3.jan: Nice (both the girls and the shot ;)
- 4.jan/5.jan: agree with eeland, both of the streets shots are great! Something about the second one I really like.
- 6.jan: It is funny that where ever we live, whatever we do, there we have our shelf with our CDs, couple of pictures and other personally important stuff. Nice shot, a window into your life.

Wonderful beginning - will bookmark you and keep on watching.

Last Friday night I picked bunch of half dead sunflowers from a street vendor for $5. I have purchased them before, all they usually need is a fresh cut and some clean water to perk them up.

It didn't work out this time. They never got a second wind. This is the best of what's left of the bunch.

When I first moved here a friend would come visit.. She would take off walking for hours. Since she didn't know the area well but said she could always find her way back by looking for the water tower.

Unfortunately we are no longer friends and haven't spoken in almost two years. I have no regrets for ending the friendship, but I still miss the good times.

During life people come and go. Most of the friendships that end slowly fade away as people and life move on. Sudden ends to close friendships can be harder than an end to a romantic relationship.

I was suppose to meet a friend tonight. I took the train to his station but he wasn't there to pick me up. I called and he was surprised I was there, he had left me a voicemail saying he couldn't make it. He was sick (and you know how men get with the sniffles).
