It seems that apart from having watched all evening long my favorite serie: "24h", my major occupation of the day was trying to make that stupid excel soft working properly...and I have to say it is a really stupid one, but I did!
So tomorrow that nice little printer will have to work a lot!
...Hope I'll have something better to shoot, at least a screenshot of "24"!!

03 janvier 2007

That was the place near where I had lunch today...it's been a few weeks since I passed in front of it thinking I have to take a photo of it, and that is what I did today!
Plus I was brave enough to ask the restaurant where I had lunch if they were ok to have an exhibition of our flickr@paris group, left her a flyer with my phone number and she looked really interested!
So maybe she'll pass by La Poudrière (the bar in which we're having our "Paris Noir" exhibition which will start tomorrow night...I won't be surprised if my photo for tomorrow is one of tomorrow night!!) !
Something else is on my mind but beause I'm too paranoïd about the fact somebody from my work could read this diary, I won't put it here...yeah,that's one of the problems I have to deal with: wanting to be read, and wanting to hide things at the same time, because when I say too much, that's when I feel really naked and fragile...well, who said human nature was simple?

MBG

The self proclaimed "Milky Bald Guru"
(aka Philippe Leroyer)
You wanted it, you have it!

So, as I said, it was a really cool evening but now my feet ache, my throat ache, my eyes are kinda reddy, but hey,it was fun: I saw Maly again (seriously considering learning french and just for that I ask for a big "behind your screen" applause, yeah!!!), of course Julien Muguet and his doll were there too (for the doll?Just ask him...), the pretty Italian Papillon (I'm so sorry I forgot your present :s) and loads of new flickr@parisians!!!
Some of them weren't shy, they even brought firends with them (2nd applause please)!
Some of them just stayed on the front door because they were pregnant (and still are!) and that is a really good excuse and obliges them to come back on our next monthly meeting which is in a non smoker place:

sunday 14th of January, 11:00 am at Bastille's starbucks!

Well, a 3rd applause for you people who stayed and read through all this ... thing(?) and now I will just say something nice in french with a pronunciation help just after ;)

Bonne nuit , faites de beaux rêves!

>> bonn' nui (for nui, it's like "new" but without the sound of the "w"), fett' de bo reave ("ea" pronounced like in "dead")....<<<hope that helps you a bit ;-P...well, 'not sure! lol

I felt a lot of good things for that person while on the phone.
But too modest to tell her.
Anyhow I think she understood.

Hey, I've got the same model phone! And I'm ashamed to say that I have never used it as anything else than a phone - how old-fashioned can one be? In fairness, it came with a Greek user manual, and I haven't had time to investigate thoroughly, nor download the English manual. I have taken a few pictures but not uploaded any. Of course, it is my backup if I don't have a camera, or my battery dies, so I had better learn how to use it.

Further, that is a great portrait of the guru, gruesome yes, but still good work.

With a tip of the hat to your earlier commenter, I would like to say that I find you incredibly cute (I also visited your website), but that doesn't necessarily mean I want to get up your skirt. Perhaps slip my hand down your jeans to see if you are commando.... no, not even that!

as for camera phones, I have one too. The pictures aren't that bad, the only problem is I don't have the cable to upload them to my pc!! My hpone didn't come with it!! What a rip-off!!
For some reason, the infra-red port doesn't work either. I have a little port to attatch to the pc that I used to use with my older camer phone and it worked wonders, but for some reason nothing happens when I use it now with m! So now I hardly ever take pictures with my camera phone as it's pretty pintless to use the my new camera if I can't send them to anyone or anything... (and if you're wondering, of course the new phone has an infra red window/port or what ever you want to call it...)

Oh, and by the way, I'm thinking more and more seriously about going completely vegetarian...I don't hate the taste of meat, it's more about not wanting to eat a dead body to keep mine alive...I've heard that aborigenes , when they go on a hunt, they apologise to the animals they're killing, telling them that they don't have the choice...So I'm not the only one thinking that way...and more: it's not about modern civilization, it's about beeing human and thinking.
I don't say it's intelligent, I just say I can't see a better way of being ok with what I eat.

I met a man who was deeply in love with the woman he had shared many years of his life with. He knew she didn't love him anymore because she told him. Pages and pages of emotions, promises, apologies, and everything he imagined she would want to know in order to understand the complexity of his love for her. Origami, the art of folding paper. Do a flickr search for Origami. Very cool results.

Tequila: sometimes you don't really have the choice...but it's good asking oneself that question: "Am I obliged to cope with this or that person?"

Dabourz: well...hum...if it's legal...then yeah!!!!!!

...

hum...well not all of them, just leave a few ones....I need natural human warmth during winter!:)

*hugs* Maija. I have a person in my life making me CRAZY and there's no way I can ignore/fuck/kill/set fire to said person even if sometimes I'd be much obliged. It's draining.

Arrrwwwwww!! So sending you good, strong, whole vibes - hope they get there ;)

You should read some Bukowski Maia... you'll know how to treat with those problems. Anyway, I wish you not particularly to get back your smiley being (sorry to give that kind of stereotype, but as said i-don't-remember-who in this topic you look really sweet) but to be able to pass through with keeping only what's positive for you.
huuuum I'm sorry it's less understandable than in french...

Je suis assez d'accord avec tout le monde, laisse les c...(comme dirait Téquila!) où ils sont, et pense à toi! Un peu de ménage dans son entourage ne fait jamais de mal, ça libère et rend plus léger! ;)

Starbucks Opéra

Well, another "working day".
I really don't understand why everybody want to live that much...
I was stressed all day, excited at the same time, waiting for that evening and fearing it at the same time...
We finally went to that Starbucks everybody told me about, located in the old Opéra area.
For people who wonder where it is exactly (like we did when we were looking for it), it's on Bd des Capucines, the right side of it when you're facing the Opera (yeah the side with Lancel at the corner!)
The place is just splendid!
I know.
My photo doesn't really look that way...but the splendid part is inside!
Why the hell do I take a pic of the outside when it's splendid inside??
Because!
And that should be just fine for you!

...

But I'm nice.

yes, sometimes (trying to be less and less, hard work I have to say!)

I'll explain:

Inside I've been given my 30 year old birthday present!
And that was even nicer ! And symbolic.
That's maybe why it's not photographed.
It might appear on other pics... but you won't know.
Hehe...see? I'm beginning to understand how do be a bad person!

It's not the only one I received
(though I didn't receive that much, but that's only because of me), but this one, with about 3 to 4 months of delay seems to have a bigger value.
To me.
I've felt the same way about another present, about 10 years earlier...my boyfriend offered me a bracelet. For me it was more than that.By wearing it I felt like I was giving myself to him, I was belonging to him.
This wasn't a good idea.
When we broke up, I couldn't wear it anymore, of course, but it was Hell to take it off!
I felt so naked, so fragile...don't really want to go there anymore.
No risk with this present.
:)
