I am a small blue haired girl living in Baltimore MD. I live in a warehouse named Ground Zero with other artists and djs, we throw gaint underground parties a few times a year. Ground Zero is where all the action is, it's where everything happens. I have 3 cats, 1 boyfriend, 2 other roomies, and right now no car. I've just gotten a new camera that I adore. I make things, I alter things, I fix things, I break things, I destroy things. I am very interesting, and a bit larger than life. I adventure frequently, and have a high fun- factor. I've been called a "tightly wound bundle of creativity and hot sex" and I concur.

January 2nd was a bit better, Anthony and I cleaned out the hand-me-down refrigerator and switched all the contents into the bigger better frige. I did not take pictures of that, I took pictures of Andrew's headphones on Josh's Tech turntable, because there were no djs at Ground Zero today.

Drove to Philadelphia to visit my grandfather in the hospital, then got back to Baltimore by 3pm to get Ant to work. I made stickers for awhile and Erk and Mugzy came over around midnight to play records.

This is a really cool old ship parked in Philly, I took this driving past on 95 south.

That would be the S/S United States which, I believe, still holds the record for the fastest trans-Atlantic crossings (east & west) by a steamship -- under 4 days in each direction :)

Well, I couldn't even make it a week. I missed the 5th. The day was spent almost entirely running around without my camera, and it was all hectic cause we were trying to get all the party meeting things finished before Andrew had to leave again for Florida early on the 7th. I suck... bleah!

Andrew and Josh played out at 1722. I recorded all of it in my camera and am currently trying to seperate the audio from the video, which was shit because of the dark ass lighting in the dj booth. So my boyfriend Anthony actually this picture of me and Drew just before he left Baltimore to drive back to Florida and Full Sail. The EXIF data can say whatever it wants to, this was the 6th!!!

Sunday nights are at Skylounge, almost every week. Anthony and I stayed home for a rare quiet night alone on the couch, snuggling and watching a movie. Matt got home first and let us know that Josh was bringing home a few djs and if we didn't mind they wanted to play records.

I love my warehouse, I love living here, how can I possibly mind?!? It's the best part of living here. So Jezereck, Octane and Josh came home , then Rachel and this new dude Mark showed up about an hour later. Rachel got on the decks for a bit, everyone coached her!

We were up until around 10 am, then we crashed, HARD. Slept through the whole day, woke up around 4pm. Ran to the food store, Ant cooked a great big breakfast for Josh and I. We attempted to go check out the Whistling Oyster, cause it was Monday night, but the bar was filled with all these older dudes, who kept touching Scott and Josh. Ant, Josh and I had a gourmagical mushroom dinner, washing them down with Absinth. We stayed in the bar for one drink and got the fuck outta there while I could still follow the lines in the road. It was much better at home anyway, we laughed at Scott for a few hours, then watched Eddie Izzard, dressed to kill, which was brilliant.

.... how did you manage to get absynth?? I hear it's illegal over there... riduculous if you ask me...
The whole hype about it being hallucenogenic, is a bunch of cow turd! LOL

Not true. You can order it over the internet, apparently there is some loophole where it is legal to order it, but not to drink it or some shit. And you can hallucinate off of it, but after 7 or 8 glasses, ours was 70% proof and it came with some actual wormwood that you souse in the drink for 10 minutes or so.

It's wonderful!

& yes, everyone tells me they can see the Italian in me.... or else I get Greek or Israeli.

& the gourmagical mushrooms? Well, if the absynthe doesn't work... ;D

It was that kind of day/night..... It doesn't happen that often, but it was a fantastic finish to the last week of insanity. Too many djs, too many people playing at lame clubs, so everyone rolls back to the warehouse to play some more. We got off schedule a bit and stayed up 3 or 4 nights in a row, going out and then coming back home and still going til the wee hours.

So Andrew had driven away, and we were pretty broke by monday. I had my fungal friends for awhile, waiting around for a good night, and it finally came up! The absinth was my christmas present to the warehouse. It was a good night! Once i get home and grab the camera cable, I wil upload more, I missed the 10th I think, but I've got the rest!

I thought I had some shots for the 9th and 10th, but I think I've dumped them into the external hard drive, and at the moment I do not have the time to invest to find them....so we'll not speak of this again, and just move on, shall we??

We drove to Allentown for the weekend. It is a nice quiet peaceful place compared to downtown Baltimore. Tom's house is awesome, he has a great yard with grass and trees and everything!! It's a big deal if you've seen the view out of my window!

Tom was operating and Ant was assisting on the Hellbox, Ant's tower..... They did that as soon as we arrived, I guess to see how the weekend was going to go, on the whim of the machine.... It went well, the beast is reborn.... you'll see i n the next day or 3

Painting Tom's Bedroom in allentown. Look at how horrendous that yellow is.... bleagh!
He picked a nice slatey blue, with my help..... but that's why he keeps me around! This is Anthony about to paint the ceiling. I'm happy I'm a girl right about now, cause everybody knows that boys have to paint the ceilings.

2nd coat!! It's Ralph Lauren paint, and it is persnickety!! I have already applied the second cut in coat, see how it is darker around the edges? Tom refuses to mask and cut in, so he'd held off of painting this room for a month or so until we could come up for a weekend and I could tape it all out. Tom & Anthony did all the rolling parts of the walls and ceiling, I was on details.

The triumphant return of Hellbox into Baltimore!! Tom and Ant performed open heart surgery on the beast in Allentown, and upgraded a ton of guts. Ant surprised me with the DVD+R, I mean I knew he was getting it, but he got the Lightscribe kind so I can design badass laser etched cds for our Ground Zero boys. If I have told you in the past that I'd send you a cd and I haven't, it is because I suck. Please PM me if you are inerested.....

This is in the room my mother is sleeping in at my grandparent's house in Philly. Grandpa came home from the hospital on monday, and my mom had to take my grandmother to another appointment, and I was the only free family, so off I went to Grandpa sit. He slept most of the time, but once everyone got back to the house, my Uncle Sonny and Aunt Fran came to dinner, Sonny got Grandpa to eat a bit, and then I got to help him with a scoop of ice cream. Grandpa loves sweets, still.

Drove around a bit running errands, the worst part was going to the DMV to get my driver's license switched out of Nj into Md. That took five evers... but on the last leg of my trip I hit the "merge down to 1 lane for the next 3 miles" part of the road back to the warehouse....this guy was in front of me for a bit of it, and it made me happy.

Aha! Caught you, you BSG geek! (Or am I the geek for geeking out on you using the word frakking?)

btw, I got all sidetracked when you mentioned the fungals (they can be distracting!), but I loved that shot of the sugar cubes aflame, and this one, too, of the license plate!

yea, my dork is showing!

Its funny cause we have no cable in the warehouse, so we either make a pilgrimage to some geek friends house to catch the new shows, or else we download them and all huddle around the 17" monitor that Ant's got.

It's crappy cause when we download the shows, it seems like they cut the resolution in half or something, it's all yucky compared to the satellite feed the cable people get.... damn 100 year old building, all off the grid and whatnot. I love not having tv, it's going on 3 years now.

I spent most of today making dreadlocks on Anthony. It is time consuming, painful (for him) and monotonous. We did some other pre-party things as well, but no great photo ops, except this one.

I so wanna hang this up outside my door for the next week!
exactly.

So as part of our deal with Tom ( the room we painted a few pics up the hill) we got this fantastic huge old mirror, that Tom was sick of. Moving it is a bitch, it is sooo heavy. But we got it to Baltimore ok, and finally got to rearrange the bedroom to accommodate this pig.

We are jamming stuff from all over the house into the bedrooms to get locked away for the party, so it was a whold day project to sort out the bedroom, then work it all out so we can cram things in here and and have it remain a functional bedroom. Fun right?!

Check out the new old mirror we got!
