I have just invested in a book "The Photographs of Fredrick H. Evans" by Anne M. Lyden. His work is predominately processed using platinum printing, which is a detailed and expensive process; but one where the prints have extraordinary longevity. The process also gives an extraordinary range of grays. A lot of his work is interiors, in particular ecclesiastical subject matter.

Julia M Cameron:

Julia - thanks for posting this - what an inspiration her approach is; her discussion of light and shadow in particular was salient for me in relation to the series of my "dark" pictures and much of my shadowy street work.
