I'm slowly getting around to decorating the house. We moved in and renovated 8 years ago and it was starting to look tired...

Really love the dark moody colours but not confident to go from pale to extremely dark just yet! So, I'm gradually changing things, getting a bit darker every time.

The living room went from F&B Clunch to wall-to-ceiling F&B Hardwick white, which I actually love. Sooooo much better than Clunch!

The dining room is Little Green French Grey Pale on the Walls with the doors and skirting in LG French Grey Dark. It was all F&B Pavilion Gray, so you see - introducing darker colours gradually...

Now, my dilemma is that I need to redecorate the bedroom. If budget allowed, I'd change all the furniture - French-style bed would be sold and replaced with something else etc. I also have two walls that are papered in F&B Silvergate BP803 which I suppose I could remove. The carpet is pale and the roman black-out blinds are in a dark-ish oatmeal colour. I'd like to paint the walls in a mid dusky/murky blue or green, but doubt it will go with the blinds - unless anyone has a clever idea for replacing them with something else without blowing the bank!

I also think I'm going to have to paint the bed, maybe in a mid-dark grey...

Chandelier is also on the shopping(wish) list.

I'll upload some pics so you can see.

Would love to hear your thoughts too. I think I've been thinking about it too much and now drawn a bit of a blank...

Hi from Munich, please keep that bed. It's just awesome and a unique piece of furniture. I think paint could do the job easilly instead of replacing the furniture. For inspiration have a look at this link...

On the pictures you see Hotel Regina in Austria, which used to be very oldfashioned a couple of years ago and has turned out beautiful after the renovation. Lot's of old furniture with a modern and glamorous twist. There's a room with a quite simular bed like yours and they painted the room in a greyish green. I think this could match your roman blinds as well. Hope that helps :-) Best regard and have fun with your renovation. Olaf
