Welcome to the Teaching and Learning Project! This group is for sharing photographs and facilitating discussions about teaching and learning across campuses and disciplines. Please join one of the discussion threads below, and share your own photographs to start new topics.
This group discussion is for members only.
Group DescriptionMany of the visual representations of teaching, learning, and faculty that we see in university websites, brochures, and videos, are produced by marketing departments. Despite its relative abundance, visual representation, specifically photography, remains a neglected category of evidence for teaching and learning in higher education.
The purpose of this forum is to foster discussions about teaching and learning, giving participants the freedom to connect across campus sectors, institution types and across the country.
The photographs in this group serve as a starting point for understanding what Lee Shulman describes as “signature pedagogies,” or specific aspects of teaching within the disciplines. They might also help us to question or reinvent outmoded assumptions about various roles in higher education.
- This group will count toward the photo's limit (60 for Pro members, 30 for free members)
- Accepted content types: Photos, Videos, Images, Art, Screenshots
