National Moth Week is a global citizen science project focusing on moths distributions, biodiversity and ecology. Moth Week is celebrated annually during the last full week of July. In 2018 it will be held from 21nd to 29th July. Everyone can participate! For information on how to participate please visit our website at www.nationalmothweek.org.

Group Description

National Moth Week brings together everyone interested in moths to celebrate these amazing insects. Every year, on the last full week of July, groups and individuals from all the over the world spend some time looking for moths and sharing what they’ve found.

Group Rules

1.This Group is for live moth images (adults and caterpillars), light setups, moth'ers and event images taken at any time of year.
2.Please make sure images are tagged, geotagged and ID’d to the best of your ability. If you would like help with identification please use “help with ID” (or something like that) in the title.
3.Some images maybe chosen or requested to be spotlighted on the NMW website, if interested please set permissions to Creative Commons or leave a note in the comment section. Copyright will be respected but if it’s a stellar moth or image expect to be pestered by Admin.
4.Please Tag your images with "National Moth Week” and if taken during NMW or at a NMW event please tag "National Moth Week 2016” (or the year it was taken)
5.All photos are moderated and those that are not appropriate for the group will not be approved for the group pool.
