Group DescriptionTrashpo (trash poetry) is a form of visual poetry based on a commitment to recycling and social commentary on consumer culture. The international mail-art network is the center of the Trashpo community.
Current Trashpo practice is based on work created by U.S. visual poet Jim Leftwich in 2005 and the current work of artist Diane Keys (Elgin, Illinois, USA). Many artists and writers producing Trashpo are also members of DKult, which explores Trashpo in-depth and seeks to contribute to TrashPo-etics.
This group is hosted by DKULTNY (DKult New York). Anyone interested in Trashpo is warmly welcome to join and share their work and ideas.
