I know for sure that I'm making a quilt just for ME with my lovely Liberty fabrics, I'm just not sure exactly what pattern I'll do. Maybe just charm it up and keep it simple.
What do you have in mind?

I'm thinking of cutting each block into 6 2.5x3.25 in blocks and making a postage stamp quilt. I'm not sure yet though. I may do the same and keep it to charms. I may buy some additional yardage and make a swoon quilt. Gah to many options xD

Make something?? We have to make something??
Isn't it enough just to hold them close and croon 'My Precious" over them???

I think I've decided to do something simple like the pic below - but then what color would I use for sashing?

Ooh, that's gorgeous!

Hm, with the incredible variety of colors, I'd either choose a creamy white tone that matches the background of so many OR (and this will sound crazy) an eggplant purple. I find that it actually acts quite beautifully as a neutral for framing pictures, so no reason it wouldn't work to frame blocks!

Oooh, I would've never thought of eggplant! I might have to take my stash and just lay them out all over some solids, lol - the quilt shops won't mind if I just make myself at home and spread out, right?

I want to make a quilt where i don't need to add additional fabric. I looked into buying some Liberty solid but am afraid it is not in the budget right now. I also don't want to have any scraps left over!!! I am looking for ideas too!

Ok, after thinking about the amount of fabric we are getting and not paying for their solids, do any of you think I can use any of these to blend?

I haven't seen any in person and was wondering If you all could help me? I think the texture of the fabric would be close???

kari- this line of liberty fabrics are traditional quilting cotton weight, NOT their voile line. Kona cotton or any other "standard" solid is the same weave/texture.

I guess the texture just felt a bit different to me. I can't wait to see them all together!

Sometimes, at bedtime, instead of a tv show I'll do a flickr search for a quilt type or group and watch a slideshow on my laptop.

Look what I saw last night! It doesn't have every single print, but it's soooo pretty! (Click to enlarge)
