My set

I have to say that looking through my images for this year of 26 I can definitely say I've tried a few things. Some of the images I've made have worked and am really pleased with the result, however there are some in the set that I've thought 'if I had my time again I would have...' But that has been the great thing about this process, not everything works out but you can still learn from the mistakes you make. Its definitely helped me to 'grow' as a photographer.

In terms of fun (and mess) - this is my image

My set in reverse order:-

I'm not sure I have a particular favourite from my submissions. Often it has been the shots I have taken between challenges that have been the most pleasing. I am beginning to have a sense of where I might want to go next with my work; having some clear ideas I want to explore.
I have definitely discovered where my comfort zone is and when I am uncomfortable I kind of know this can be an interesting place.
I also have begun to sense when a "good" shot is in the air.

Here is my set

I have learnt so much since joining this group and enjoyed seeing others interpretations of each challenge.

My favourite was #26
#26 When I were a lad

as it was a personal emotional journey finishing with an image which told the story for me. I have discovered that I enjoy this type of image capturing and this one #12 still makes me smile.

No strings attached

Some are better than others but my personal challenge was to do them within the 2 weeks no matter if there was nothing much to take

I got side tracked by other things this year and then couldn't seem to get back on track. It's been my one regret because I've really enjoyed taking part and I've learned a lot in doing so. Thanks again David, Julia, Mark and Emma for doing such a great job. It can't have been easy at times but it's very much appreciated. For the life of me I can't figure out how you've made your sets appear as they do so here's a link to mine :)

**edited cause thanks to David I've sorted my set icon :)

What an amazing year! It's been fun looking back.
So grateful for everyone's hard work in creating this project!!

I definitely wouldn't have produced this without the stimulus of the instruction. It's now hanging on the wall in the cafe opposite the place where I made it:

Squirrel's eye view

This was the most artistically satisfying shot to produce:
The Eve of The War

And this was the most intense:

This one is my favourite shot. After I uploaded to Flickr I hmmm'd and ahhhhh'd I just couldn't decide whether to keep it or ditch it, did I like it, no I didn't , It started to grow on me, I decided I was going to delete it. I spent quite a while arguing with myself. It was Mark who pursuaded me to think twice about its removal and in the end I was so glad as I have absolutely no doubts any longer. So thank you Mark! 26 by 26 #4

It's very difficult to choose a favourite - "Hiraeth" was the one that resonated the most for me, but I think this has to be the one:

#10 crabbing

I'm enjoying seeing everyone's sets and their own favourites - and seeing some gems I missed the first time round.

This has been a very enjoyable year. So many terrific images throughout the 26 group, inspirational and a pleasure to enjoy. Thanks to everyone for sharing their work and being supportive to one another. It's been a joy to take part.

Quite like this one

What an awesome year of challenges, some of which were pretty tough to come up with a decent concept for. Looking back at my entries I'm really happy with about 50% or them and the rest are just okay. Roll on Year Three!
