I am 2 weeks behind again. This wast he Victoria Day weekend. My husband and I took the boys fishing. The girls weren't interested in going and made plans with their friends. My husband caught a large pickerel. It was almost as long as my youngest son is tall.

I meant,

And I have trouble processing in my head that you have a daughter old enough to take you out to dinner. You seem so young.

That is part of one of the locks on the Ottanabee river, correct? Looks like one of the locks on the River Road towards Lakefield. One of the nicest drives in Southern Ontario.
MarySesami 11 years ago
Yes, you are right it is part of the locks. That is a good guess Rick (very close), it is Lock 19 right by the Lansdowne St. bridge. I did take some pictures at the one you are talking about a few weeks ago. I didn't upload those to flicker because my kids were in most of them. That is where my husband caught the fish (May 21).

Dragonhide 11 years ago
car football's NUTS.. haha never heard of that. Neato.

I have enough redneck in me to appreciate things like that LOL
MarySesami 11 years ago
It was the first I heard of car football too.
The orange car in the centre was the football and the drivers of the other cars had to push the "football" over their opponents goal line.

The kids had fun at the zoo. Thanks for giving me the idea Simon.

I just finished my "Mystery Crochet-along" . My crochet group started this pattern at the beginning of June. Each week we got a different part of the pattern. We were only told that it was an animal. You found out what it was as you made it. It turned out to be a little jointed bear. His arms and legs can move.
The pattern is by Carolyn Christmas Savage Designs.

MarySesami 11 years ago
Yes Rick it brings back some great memories for me too. My older children used to watch the Elephant Show all the time. When I found out my youngest son's class was going I was more excited then he was, he did not even know who the were.

I have some friends who used to work for Nelvana Studios. He was an animator and worked on their opening credits for their TV show. He created the opening credits as a comp (or proof). They saw the proof and insisted it be used as the actual opening. I don't think they're on any more, but the opening credits used to look a little odd because of that.

Hmm I guess it could also be made by a corner of a car hitting it instead of head on...

Hope your neighbor is OK.

@Simon- I just finished the book this morning:)

I decided to stay away from the Internet as much as possible until I finished the book. Too many people seem to be trying to ruin it by telling what is going to happen.
