"I am a thought, that enters into every fragment of reality,
I am every emotion known by the world of time,
I am all the questions asked by a four yrs old,
I am the water and the fire,
I am the earth and the air,

I am life at its present form, just a moment of the Endless Worldwide Story,

I am happiness and sadness,
I am kindness and...
I am peace and war,
I am Contraddiction in its purest form,

I am simply
a woman's soul."

I started off by saying that a project like this one would not have interested me as I did not wish to have to take one photo per day....well....the proof is that I am here! Am looking forward to this year 2007, and one thing is sure, I will try to make it as good as possible! (just changed the photo....an "unpublished" one just for this diary!!!)

Any advise, any comments....well, just feel free! ;-)

@Sabrina: I do spend a lot of time everyday the nose turn to the sky. I can spend hours just watching it. I've to say that in any place I've been there was always that at least one time where the sky amazed me. But for me the place where I really enjoyed watching at sunset and sunrise was in Patagonia. :-)
Italian Papillon 11 years ago
@ Photogrin: so am not on my own in looking up...;-) I've never been to Patagonia, but what you've just said makes me soooooo much want to travel there!!! (btw... i do prefer the light at sunrise than the one at sunset...;-))

... lol, you get straight to the point, don't you??

... the pciture of your friend is beautiful, such a reminissing feeling... almost dream-like! I wish I were able to take shots like that! Did you tweak it a bit in photoshop?

As for the sky shot, beautiful!! We look up th the sky and stars because it gives us a sense of freedom... of unreachable vastity that has no limits.... it gives me hope, anyways!

@ sunshinecity: thank you for the compliments on my friends photo - my friend is a dream, yeah!!! ( on the technical side: The photo was taken in bad lighting conditions, without flash because I do not like to use this..., so it was blurry to start off with but yes, I have tweaked it a little, not using PS this time, but only Picasa...so no much done to it... - I have an EOS350D, do you have a reflex camera yourself? )
As for the skies - well these are extreme wise and beautiful words you say....going directly to one's soul - Thank you so much for this! :-)
sunshinecity 11 years ago
you're welcome....
Do you speak italian, are you italian por have some connection?? If so, "Prego"!!!

Besides my digital camera, I also have a canon 3000, semi automatic... it's a great camera, takes AMAZING pictures, but I've been so bad and have neglected it ever since I got my digital, 2 years ago!!

Maybe I should go say hi to her today! Do you think she'll still talk to me??
; ) Yes.. I'm stupid!

I think you should well go and say hello to your camera today!!!! Ohhhhh yes! ( and you are not silly!) ;-)

I think I actually figured out most of what you said! Contrary to what you said. Ha ha.
Put a nice box of Quies mousse bouchons d'oreilles( at pharmacie) at your neighbors door. Maybe she will feel better and relax if she uses them and gets to sleep. Then no need for broken legs. :)

11th january 2007 - The sea, here I come!

YEAHHHHHH! Today I have boked a week-end at the sea, and it is going to be very soon.....finally, it is ages since I have had a look at the ocean "mode live", and for some kind of reason I need to see the big blue sea often, so one of my friends called me today and invited me over for a relaxed and calm weekend by the seaside........fantastic!!!! What can we ask more that this as the highlight of a day???!?!?!? ( and am sure I'll be taking lots of photos over there!YEEEEAAAAHHH!)
mscjwharton 11 years ago
I am so excited for you!
I don't speak Italian at all but I found that it reading what you had wrote, I somehow connected or deduced most of the words out of the English, French, a little bit of Spanish and Latin roots etc. It wasn't simple but I did it. Yeah! Maybe that will be my next language!

12 jan 2007 - Push to te crime...

Ok, I have had to take photos with my mobile phone for a couple of days, because I did not take the camera with me....so the results are really really poor but I stuck to it...so....
Highlight of the day was having dinner with one of my best friends and then we went out to a nightclub in Paris...these guys in the photo were just in front of us in a queue in order to leave our coats and bags....I needed to take a photo and they wanted to pose for me, very kind of them!
.......the night was great, we met a lot of people, we danced and talked.....the night ended at around 6am. I slept soundly again at my friend's ( you know the little room above the apartment under the wooden beams).....

13 jan 2007 - Seeing my kind of people

another mobile phone photo.....ohhhh noooooooo!
Woke up early afternoon at my friends, we hurried up because we were supposed to have coffee and meet a friend of one of our best girl friends......so this was waiting for them in a bar.......I then spent the afternoon with another friend and got to change my Christmas gift in order to fit to my wrist ( it's a beautiful bracelet which wishes me a life full of happiness), before leaving her we had a glass of wine in a bar around 6.30pm...it is the time for the aperitif!!!), and then I went back to my apartment. I just got to put the water for the pasta onto the hob ( I had not eaten the whole day) and received a text message from a special friend who does not live in Paris: he thought I was going to a bar tonight and he wanted to surprise me...so, not seeing me there, he was disappointed and sent me the text message.....I turned off the water for the pasta, I changed my clothes quickly and took a taxi to go to this place......another evening full of talks, and people, and smiles, and exchange, and complicity.............absolutely great!!!

18th january 2007 - Another Etxebarria ended!

Another simple day hey!!! The main event is that I finished my book of one of my favourite writers of the moment: Etxebarria....She writes about humain relationships and love between parents and children, between men and women, between women and women....but always from the women's point of view! Really interesting, the booked is composed by several novels, all different, but all with this "love" which lingers in the air.... :-)
*sweet coffee* 11 years ago
You should also try read " Beatriz et les corps célestes", also very good book from Etxebarria!

* sweet coffee * candy for the eye

@ cafe Creme: I have already read this...oohhhh yes!!! But the book I prefer of this writer is "De l'amour et autres menzonges" -it's fantastic!!! ( where the writers tells a story of deep and destructive love.......)
yes, I know, once I like a writer I have the tendency of reading several books of him/her to get a wider view of his/her production!! Thank you for passing by! :-)

What gloriously large wine glasses you have...
Italian Papillon Posted 11 years ago. Edited by Italian Papillon (member) 11 years ago
@Fil: heeheheee...if you just knew....that's not the biggest either!!! ;-))

In fact a little story: I only have one glass of those....and it comes from a Pub in the village where I was living in UK - Studley - the pub: the Barley Mow....one evening, it was a friday night, summer, we were drinking wine with some friends until late....we were told that the bar was closing so we decided to go to my little house in order to continue the evening, and a good friends of mine was drinking white wine, she had not yet finished her glass, so she insisted she had the right of taking the glass and the wine with her cause she had payed for it.......so I inherited the glass!!! :-)

19th january 07 - just love roses..

These are the first roses I received for my birthday this year...went to have coffee in the afternoon with a friend and he surprised me with these!!! GREAT!!! In the evening I went to see the exhibition of Yves Klein - the monochrome - for whom the world is blue.......an intense blue....I have learnt that I believe Klein to be a philosopher...which releases his philosophy through the tool of art and painting. I believe to discover exhibitions like this, it is a good thing to go on its own...and to look and think about things at our own pace, instead of following or being followed by somebody else, however close to you may these people be.....
Then I went out to dinner with a close friend straight after the exhibition then to a bar and then exhausted came back to my apartment....The first...

VODKAAAAAA!!! ok- the day started quite early, I was invited to a lunch at a couple of friends.... so first of all I am most of the times "in time"so I arrived in time of course and they were not ready to receive me....I think they panicked a bit but I kow them really well, I was a testimony to their wedding, so no real worries.... it was a pre birthday lunch, with pre-birthday presents.....yyiiippppeeeee...am really spoilt.. lunch ended up with mandarin vodka, followed by a walk, through the north of Paris and touching the Parc de la Villette, arriving up to Pantin to see the Mills. Then I gathered my things and departed....
The evening was spent at one of my best girlfriends....she put me up for the night as the following day ( on my birthday) I was due to cook in her apartment for the birthday dinner organised for the same evening....busy, busy,busy...

22nd january - Birthday champagne

A wonderful day.....got woken up by the very first text message at 7.50am wishing me a happy birthday....let's say that this year it was not my mum the first one wishing me this...she came only third!! The second person was my friend, before she went to work she stopped and wished me a good Birth-day! It was a day full of preparations - food shopping, hairdresser, and cooking....I prepared the 2 salmons lasagne with salad for main dish and a Panna Cotta with red fruit coulis for dessert.....there were 6 of us, we had a great evening drinking champagne, eating and talking...got lots of attentions and it felt good....a couple of friends bought me MY perfume as a present....they remembered what I used as a perfume...astonishing...ad got more (lots) of roses too...my favourite flower!

Ach! You don't know me, if I start drinking, I can't stop (I might be an alcoholic although I don't drink or need to drink everyday). This week is the last week which I allow myself to drink. Next week, I'm on diet. I need to loose 20 kg until my next birthday.

My friends has once elected me "king" of lasagna (anykind meat, veggie, fish... recipe variation of my great grand mother from Bologna's recipe). Maybe one day we should have a lasagna battle and have an impartial jury to blind taste (test?) our lasagna (it has to be "blind" otherwise I would not stand a chance beside you specially if the jury would be mainly composed by male). What do you say? ;-)

PS: Besciamel = Béchamel (french word is used in English although it is also called "White sauce")

24 january - A day of Words

A day of words - written a poem, in fact it came out on its own and then I decided to go to the cinema......I saw a film called "Hors de prix" - really very light, nothing to talk about, but it brought a smile on my face...that's all that matters....

I haven't stopped in here before, I don't believe... Glad I did.
Love the portrait of your friend on page 1 (B/W), the candle shot, your portrait on the 20th, and the metal box. LOL, OK I had a few I had to share!

Your 17th Jan wine shot is also nice... I have something similar for one of my entries... great minds and all...
