November 26th 2007 ˜ day 325

When I mentioned that this week had been an interesting one, I meant it, and not because of social events... it's not all partying in my life..

I've recently booked a flight to the US for the next year. I'll be visiting some friends in feb for 10 days. I will also be stopping off in Indy, mainly to see friends, but also to try and get a hold of the things I left behind back in 2006.

For those of you who have follwed my diry from the beginning, will know i'm referring to thigns I left at my ex's. Zeeing as I was supposed to be moving and marrying him, I brought out my entire summer wardrobe, to sort of try and get a head start of packing and stuff, seing as it was winter and I was hoping to be married by the following summer... we all know how that nded up.

So anyways, seeing as I am someone who thinks about others' feeligns and the consequences my actions may have on them, I decided to write to Michael to let him know I was coming.
Just to fill you in, in these six months since we've broken up, I have not once heard from him. Or rather I have, but never was it him who came looking for me.

After I finally decided to put it behind me, I have how ever contacted him twice to try and at least stay friends... (Yeah, I know what you all think, something impossible.. so I've been told...).
I always got brief, rather cold responses back from him which always ledf me to think he was just being polite and not really wanted any kind of relationship with me.

Well this past weekend I got wind of him apparently being rather happy I was comin to visit. pparently he wants to sit down and have a talk with me. He supposedly has a lot he wants to talk to me about and misses me a lot.

I can't describe how this makes me feel... I have mixed emotions about this. On one hand, I prayed for this for sl long, and not because I was hoping to get back with him, but simply because, as selfish and mean as it soudns, I wanted him to regret his decision and live with the fact that he'd fucked up the best thing in his life and not be able to do anything about it.
On the other, I am glad to see him and to be able to sit down and talk. I think after all this, I need closure.
I'm not sure what he wants to say to me exactly, but I hoe to be hearing some apologies. I will tell him how I feel and wont' spare him the fact that he really hurt me. I know it'll hurt for both of us, it won't be easy but I think we'll be better off for it.
This should have taken place six months ago...

And so tonight, I post a picture of a photo album that contains pictures of the summer we got engaged. It contains some wonderful, yet painful memories.
I hope after my trip to be finally able to put this book and this relatiobship finally to rest.

Aw Alex.... Having only really "met" you "after the fact" and not knowing too much details.. I feel I've been thoughtless, despite the hints here and there you dropped. I'm sorry.

No matter what, what you went(are going thru) through is hard. Much warm thoughts in your direction.

Ah, that explains the several pictures in your photostream.

It is ironic that this should come up just when you appear to be finding a great deal of happiness elsewhere. Impossible for me to know your emotions, but with all that's happened, i would tend to keep it businesslike, retrieve your stuff, and not open yuourself up for more pain. But who am I to say?

No... I have things to get off my chest, and only speaking from the heart will help me move on. I'm a passionate creature, and I have nothing to hide.

Sounds like your trip to the US could be difficult - but very helpful. I totally understand the need to get stuff of your chest and find closure (I wish there was a better word for that) otherwise it can keep eating away at you and you can never really put it all behind you! It'll be tough but you'll hopefully feel a lot better afterwards - or at least thats the hope :)

all right I just ment to be sure you have an idea of what to do in any possible scenario, That what I usually do at least. Imagine the worst one and the better one and what would you do or say. Other wise things could have either a really good turn up or a really hard one.

But then again that could be for my experience, I been yeald at, cryed, and one even tryed to hit me with a chair...anyway good luck and I'm just around the corner from there so if you need anything......

I don't think it's futile thing to try to be friends- all that time already invested in each other- it's worth a shot. Some people apparently can't handle that however. A shame, really. One thing for certain however, you'll be okay either way it goes.

I think that it won't be all that bad, maybe a bit painful... but he's never yelled at me or anything like that. It'll probably be harder for him than me actually..

Exactly! I'd like to be friends. It can be done, I've seen it be done. Maybe not now, maybe in time... who knows. We'll see...
I'm really ok with this, I don't think anyone's grasped it. LOL
But I honestly do apreciate the concern. I feel loved and cared for, that's the main thing!

November 28th 2007 ~ day 327

I had to go to the doctor's this morning to get my allergy shot. I've finally started getting vaccinated and hopefully I'll soon feel the benefits.

Today has been a weird day. I obviously wasn't in the best of moods, given the wonderful hatemail I received last night.
I waited untill this morning to send a reply, as I wanted to get some advice from my friend Heather first. She told me that what I wrote was good and that the tone was ok, so I went ahead and hit "send".

I can't believe that after all this time, after all that's been said and done, we're back to square one!
I feel like I'm back in June, when alll this hatred and hard feelings lingered in the air. I feel cut up... yet I refuse to let this get to me.

Some could say to just let it go, to just drop it. He obviously doesn't want to be civil, but I can't.. I simply can't.
I refuse to let this side of me be told... this side of me that doesn't even exisit. I have never been a mean person. Sure I've had my bitchy moments and when hurt I fight back and usually use claws... I can be pretty mean but I usually get over it in time.

After so long, I was finally happy. I was starting to believe and love my life again. I was enjoying my freedom and was putting myself out there. I was even considering letting someone in my heart again. I barely had time to get back on my feet, that I was pushed back to the ground again.
I honestly blame all this bullshit on other people's nosey habits.
If people hadn't come and told me that he wanted to talk to me, that he missed me, that he wanted to patch things up, I'd have never had gotten my hopes up of being able to find peace with him.
But people have nothing better to do that come and tell you stuff that doesn't concern them.

I don't know what will happen between now and february but I'll bet you this isn't the end of it.

Today I went to see Paul Gaugin, another free art exhibition, sponsored by the company I work for.
I have to say that his works of art are phenomenal, as so is he life.
The wonderful thing about these guided tours is not only the fact that you get to see the artist's work, but also that you are able to learn so much about their lives, their artisti techniques, their internal struggle with poverty, etc.

As usual, after the tour, there was a free buffet surved on the roof terrace.... YUM!!
Only down side was the rain.... it rained all day and so of course Alex got wet on her way home... but it was a great night nevertheless!

Sorry Sunshine, that the machinations of so-called friends are dragging you into more sad, drawn-out nastiness. I would say, back to where you were, look happily at the future, and leave the past behind.

Your last picture so summons up the vibrant colours of Gauguin.

December 2nd 2007 ˜ day 331

As December begins, the year comes to an end.
How typical of me to have skipped posting on the first day of the last month of the year.

I kind of hoped I'd be a bit more consistant with this project but I guess some unexpected occurances (such as the burglary this summer) and other minor hickups along the road stopped me from my carrying out endeavour to its full potential.

I went to "the Mall" today and I didn't have my camera with me so you don't ge to see pretty pictures of all the pretty people with all their pretty little Chrismas shopping bags, but I'm sure you can all imagine. Or not...

Anyways, as I promised I'm posting a picture of my cute little Apple Remote...

I've been doing the same with my remote since you told me - and its great, because im really clumsy and always lose stuff. In the first two days I lost the remote a couple of times, so having it stuck on the screen is great :)

Very cool :)

magnets aren't that scary- The speakers in a laptop have magnets after all.

Once upon a time, I had a client with a hard disk drive that had to be destroyed per court-order. So we thought we'd use the handy dandy powerful electro-magnet that we happened to have that was used to erase tapes- cassette audio tapes, video, any of those magnetic deals.

We ran that thing across the hard disk drive, with the office light dimming and all that Hollywood effect...

I put it back into the computer and it booted up perfectly with no hiccup.

So much for that. hahaha I ended up taking the hard drive apart and applying some stern & vicious hammer blows, and randomly drilling holes in the disk platter.. Threw the whole mess out of our 3rd story window, onto the street then collected all the pieces and put them into a paper bag and delivered to the court. They were happy. LOL

And you're right, that looks totally like first generation shuffle! haha

And Alex, please STOP posting pictures of my vacation castle, it's supposed to be private.

December 3rd 2007 ˜ day 332

It wasn't the best of days today.
It started off looking really grey, with an incredible humidty. Then the wind started to pick up and the sky turned clear again. Things were starting to look up... or so I thought.
A little while later, they call me from security telling me that my scooter fell on to a colleagues' car and scratched the side of the door...
The wind was gusting so strong that it knocked my scooter down!! Can you believe that?
So now I have to eithr pay damages or get my insurance on it and risk my premium going up...
ARGH!!

As if that wsn't enough, it started raining too! But luckily it stopped before I had to leave for home, so I didn't get wet.

Best to come home and relax with the soothing scent of my mint chocolate chip candle.... the flickering flame is hypnotising almost!

I don't know about over there, but fixing dings like that is stupid expensive over here... Be sure to get more than one quote- there's some ppl that can do a perfect job for not so bad $... often autobody shops will go for the most expensive way to fix little stuff like that, so that they profit the most because the insurance company pays... and the customers don't complain, of course, unless they don't have enough insurance :(

I'm sure it's a whole different ballgame in Italy... I've been down that road a couple times out here in the States.. :P

ohhh too bad you were pissed off, but was it with the world in general or someone in particular?
I was once again victim of the injustice of the general clockwork of the world, Why dear lord can't even once life be injustice on MY favor for a change????

(P Granovsky) Are you suggesting coconuts migrate? says:

Well it was quite clear when you were mad to someone in particular, however I meant whit the rain and the wind you were just mad at the world.

On the side I most confess that 'cause I'm at work (and supposed to be working) most of the time I don't have as much time to read all the posts about a subject as I wish, eventually I miss a detail or two.

and finally I were laughing a while thinking of this picture: You are driving happy in your scooter, singing (lalaralara) and then! suddenly..it starts raining... (and like you said you cursed regularly) you shout some bad word, probably out loud also like "ohh crap!!" (but cause I'm a good boy I only know soft words) and look at the sky while waving your arm with the fist hard closed swearing at the weather screaming "DAMN YOU WEATHER OF HELL!!!!!"

December 4th 2007 ˜ day 333

Tonight we celebrate Hanukkah - the Festival of Lights.
This holiday always comes close to Christmas but really has nothing to do with it.

I of course remembered to take my photo too late, when the first two candles had already long burned out. Hopefully I'll remember to take a picture of them tomorrow!
