Question everyone!!

I just bought a D3100 a couple of months ago. Seemed like the best buy for a beginner shooter (please check out my page: opinions appreciated). Anyways, after receiving the 50mm f1.8 as a gift, I loved it except for the manual aspect of it since D3100 does not have and AF motor. Im considering switching down (or up, depends how you look at it) to the D90.
Ive read the d3100 takes better quality pictures, yet the d90 still has the great advantage of the built in AF motor. I also like the lighter weight and build of the D3100.
With expected lenses to be purchased in the future, would I better off going with the D90??? Im pretty torn here.
