Welcome to the Amber Group!

The members of the Amber Group are Flickr users who are featured on FotoVotr based on their interest and popularity levels as recognized within the Flickr community.

What's Can I Do Next?

After receiving the Amber Award:

1. Join the Amber Group.
2. Add your Amber photo to the group.
3. Log in to using your Flickr ID.
4. Vote on other photos and award your favorite Flickr photos a Ruby Award.
5. Invite your friends and family to vote.
6. Once you give out 5 Ruby Awards, you'll be invited to the Emerald Group.
7. Climb the Leaderboards and earn the Bronze, Silver and Gold Trophy.

About is a cool way to see how your Flickr photos compare to those of your other Flickr friends, as well as the Internet as a whole. It is a photo contest with weekly rounds where everyone has a chance to be recognized as having the best photo for that round.

Anyone can submit photos to the FotoVotr website, potentially win a round and ultimately the entire contest.

Photos are selected for participation or uploaded by users, then voted upon by the whole Internet. Those receiving the most votes make it to the top of the Leaderboards as. The more people you invite to vote, the easier it is to get into the top 10! is a wonderful way for Flickr users who have chosen the Flickr Creative Commons Licensing option to gain visibility and recognition by moving their way up the Leaderboards as as a result of voting by users from across the worldwide web.

Group Rules

Welcome to's Amber group.

This group is an award group which means the following rules apply, but don't worry they're really easy.

1-In order to post your photos in the amber group, you must find at least 2 photos that you like (not your own photos) and award an amber to each. The more ambers you award the more people see your pictures!

2- if you have given out 3 ambers (which results in a new amber group user) you will be rewarded with a ruby and be invited to the ruby group. to learn more about the ruby group go here

3- By joining the group we ask that you give permission for photos of yours that we like a lot to be used in contests on the very fun

-Failure to follow these rules is grounds for removal, and that would be sad because we like having you here.
