Misanthropic planning is urban planning that hates living people. It prioritizes urban design that looks nice from afar but you're not supposed to touch, live-in, or interact with. It's planning that fences off or says "no" to natural and harmless human activities in urban places, out of a mindset that believes people's presence spoils something (often but not always aesthetics).
