Our group is growing every day - take the time now to introduce yourself

Group Description

Canberra School of Photography was established in 1992 and is centrally located at Phillip (near Woden).
Our philosophy is to demystify the technical aspect of photography (cutting through the jargon) to make complicated ideas simple. Our courses are designed to provide rapid learning of practical skills with an emphasis on the application of photographic theory and techniques. This application of skills allows students to learn in a very short period of time what others would take months to teach. Our program involves lectures, demonstrations, practical work, home work, assignments, feedback, group discussions, field trips and guest lecturers.
The students who have completed our courses to date (ranging from beginners to experienced photographers) have been extremely pleased with the content, style and practical results of the programme. They have been generally surprised by how easily they were able to understand and apply technical concepts which they had previously found difficult.

The work on this site represents photos from students of Canberra School of Photography, present and past.
