NOTE : Under iOS 4.x, FlickStackr may require "Location Access" to be able to browse the photo library. This is an iOS 4.x limitation imposed by Apple to apps. Other apps which do not require it will NOT get you Exif or full resolution.

you can favorite within the applcation today. When looking at a photo tap on the 'action' button, on the top toolbar (it is the button with the box and arrow). Adding as a favorite is one of the options there.

I think we can implement your latest photos sent to a group. Would it make sense to view the photos sent to ALL of your groups in a single screen, or when looking at said group, look at YOUR photos in that group ?

Great app, but I have trouble sharing sets. I tried sending an entire set to Stacks, but it will not let me email the set. It tells me to click edit and select photos, but there is only a set there. Please advise!

Samir, this is not possible right now. Sharing from the Stack only works for photos right now (although the UI is misleading).

This will be fixed in the next update 1.6.

It lets people save your photographs to their iPad without permission.
I have turned off API searches in my preferences yet after a search my photos were in the results and with a tap or two it was in my iPad gallery even though it is copy protected.
Ether the makers of FlickStackr or Flicker need to address this problem.
If a photo is copy protected it should not even show in search results let alone if API search is off or not.

Jonathan, fair enough. Flickr does return copyright info through their API, and FlickStackr should enforce it by preventing it saving to the photo library. Or even better, providing a message stating the copyright status.

Would you still consider fair to be able to share a LINK to the photo via email, twitter, facebook ?

I love this app and have often referred to the iPad/iPhone users in my Flickr groups. Love the way it displays Flickr photos: full screen with easy access to comments and photo details. I also like how it is easy and intuitive to manage groups ~ everything just one swipe or tap away. The off-line mode is cool when I can't be 'connected' but still want to share recent captures. An A+++ app that continually grows with Flickr user needs. Thanks!

I think FlickStackr is wonderful, elegant, and a beautiful piece of software, but I was very disturbed to find that I could download a photo to my iPad even though the Flickr permissions were set to not permit downloading. During the download process, there was NO notification to me as to the copyright settings on the photograph I was downloading. This is not right.

Another app, Explore Flickr does respect the download permission settings of each Flickr user, and so does not permit one to save an image to the photo library if the user has turned off downloading permissions. This is what FlickStackr should also do (and, indeed, I believe they are required to do this by the Flickr API Terms).

Unfortunately it nos possible right now to join a group. Flickr API does not provide a way to do so, but we're planning of adding a way to do so (at least via a popup browser). At least, you will be able to do it from within the app

For some reason, Flickstackr won't create sets for me. When I try to upload multiple pictures to a new set, it uploads one but then just stops. No errors are given.

I just tried uploading a single picture and having it create a new set for me, it uploaded the picture but failed to create the set.

Any ideas?

Just downloaded this app and tried the free version. After a few minutes playing around, bought the full version. Wonderful app. Smooth and allows me to quickly browse my photos and view others.

And then it crashed. While looking at contact's photos.

Are you on iPad or iPhone ? -- There have been reports on inconsistencies with creating new sets. Either no sets created, or MORE sets created.
A few questions :
- Was the photo ALSO added to existing sets or just a new set ?
- Was the photo set to public or private ?
- The set name, was in English, or another language ?

Most of the 'crashes' in FlickStackr are currently out of memory problems. We're improving memory management in the next update to avoid this.

The column organisation is a clever idea and works very good!
But I also miss a function to join a group or follow group discussions, this would be a great addition! A quick and dirty solution would be to add the "open in browser" function for the groups newest pictures view, how about that?
