Flickroid

A simple Android 2.0 app for uploading photos and videos. You can also share the uploaded file with your configured blogs and more:
- background uploading
- privacy/visibilty setting
- tags with suggestion of all your flickr tags
- photosets
- multiple file uploads
- integrates into account management of android

IMPORTANT:

Before you can start you have to allow Flickroid to connect to your flickr account. Flickroid will now open a browser where you have to login in flickr.com. After that, Flickroid starts again and you can upload your photo.
Luckily, you have to do this only once!

UPDATE version 2.2.0:
multi-file upload

To take full advantage of Flickr, you should use a JavaScript-enabled browser and
install the latest version of the Macromedia Flash Player.

Almost my favorite Android app since it integrates nicely in the Share It function and has a simple UI. The only thing which I am HUGELY missing is that it does not provide a chance to automatically geo-tag my photos and videos.

I wish it had an option to add the photo to an existing or new set, and an option for whether to make the geolocation info in the image public. It would also be really nice if it would autocomplete or suggest tags you already have as you type them in.

I would like to see you fix a couple of things:

Taqs needs to be spell-corrected to Tags.

Also, is there any way that you can tie into the native ability of the Android OS to capitalize the first word of a sentence? Or build that into your app?

Other than that, I enjoy using it. It's good to have an option in the Share menu, and I like that I can choose to make an image private, family, and/or friends, or public. I also like that it sends the geodata.

It works good for pictures but I tried to upload a 23 MB video today and it said the file size was too large. It did complete but wouldn't allow the video to be posted.

Prior to that I had a lot of problems even trying upload video but the new version of Flickroid seems to have fixed the upload issue. Now I get fast speed but if you can't store a 23 MB video online then it's almost worthless.

Thanks for the great app, I'll send some money once it does everything I want...

Excellent integration with android. I would love the following features to be implemented, though.

* Uploading multiple photos (The title / description entered should just apply to all)
* Ability to cancel photos that are being uploaded by tapping on the entry in the notification drawer.

Other than that, this application is great! Working great on a Samsung Galaxy S.

My only feature request would be the option to default the Title field to the image's title in Android (the one you see if you look at "Details" for an image in the Gallery app). Or the image's filename.

I installed Flickroid on my Nexus S with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). I noticed that once I did so, photos snapped with the camera stopped showing up in my Gallery. When I uninstalled Flickroid, the photos showed up in the Gallery. This may be a bug in Flickroid, or perhaps in Android itself.

It keeps stalling when uploading, I cant find a way to cancel or retry the uploads other than turning the phone off and on, and doing it all again.

Feature Request: create a way to add more default tags to images. I'd like to have some like 'mobile', 'android' and others automatically added each time I upload a photo.

Also, if an upload fails, when clicking on the notification, It would be nice to have the app reopen with the same details you previously filled out so you can retry the upload. Right now, clicking on the upload failed notification just dismisses it.

Otherwise, very nice.

Clicking YES, I'LL ALLOW IT on the confirmation page during 1st use simply refreshes the page & the confirmation never "takes". Motorola Droid. Additionally, if I attempt to load the authorization link in a desktop browser, the error displays: invalid frob.

I'm having problems. Flickroid keeps going to the Flickr site so I can authenticate. When I logon, it goes to blank screen. When I close this it goes back to the point it tried to authenticate me. Vicious cycle, and not able to post photos to my Pro account. I've got a Huawei Ideos running Android 2.2

If I may, my wish list so far:

1) Default the title to the photo's title on my phone (what Hac U.S. said)
2) The ability to set default tags (not just "flickroid")
