As every metro station in Mexico City includes a picture logo in the signage, the logo for Chapultepec station is a grasshopper. In the native Nahautl language, “Chapultepec” is “grasshopper hill”, derived from the word “chapulín” or grasshopper.

Despite the volume of vehicular and pedestrian traffic surrounding both the metro station and the adjacent bus terminal, it’s easy to forget that a large park, Bosque de Chapultepec, is steps away, including Museo Nacional de Antropología (National Museum of Anthropology), Museo del Arte Moderno (Museum of Modern Art), and Museo Nacional de Historía (National History Museum).
