Euromadness: Phase 2 -- Venice

While still incredibly beautiful & intricate, this place has, undeniably, left its glory days far behind and is overrun by tourist-oriented everything. It's overpriced and appears now designed to appeal. But, even as a gilded carcass, Venice hides a bit of her true self. Past's ghosts waft through corners and alleys and small rooms i'll likely never see. Fortunately, Saturno took us deeper into the mazes. I imagine he would have been an even better guide, had we more time.
