The town has a population of around 1,500.

That town theoretically should be 1/3 of Greenland. It's my understanding that the natural surroundings can only support around 5000 people...

Narsarsuaq was my first Greenland destination too (approximate the same year and duration), a great destination!

I was two times in Brazil, but unfortunately not in Rio De Janeiro.

Greenland has a population more of 55.000 and place is more then enough, but I have no idea how many people the natural surroundings can really support.
