I've seen this bird many times lately as I pay attention to small birds around the area.This is my second decent photograph of a kestrel. I found this one at the entrance of a beach. Although very windy and cold, I had so much luck on this day..this was also the day I found another raptor..the peregrine falcon.

Taken while waiting for sunrise at the beach. An old shot that I've worked on ..and reworked some more..still slightly noisy but it's time to put it in my stream. I love this time of the day.

Shot as we were leaving the Valley of Fires state park in Nevada heading for Cedar city, Utah. We stopped here to shoot this when the nicely formed clouds caught my attention. I had the camera low to the ground to include the road but wasn't actually thinking of the red car that got in the frame which I think is fine, too.
