In the background you see the Convention Center hosting the Siggraph Convention. In 1995 some French guys showed here the immersive imaging technique of stitching together a collection of photos to a single panorama for the very first time to the puplic. Just type 'panorama' in the search tab and see how people adopted this technique!

An inspiration...literally! I'll be at Staples tomorrow afternoon for the last time this season and will definitely give this a shot (no pun intended).
I'm pretty sure that from the 3rd-level patio there's a clear view of the new Nokia L.A. Live complex (across the street on the back side of Staples) so I'll try that too.
I wouldn't have thought to take as many as 8 shots across; I think all my panoramas will be better now. Thanks!
