Bayou Bend
The house sure looks pink, doesn't it? I think it was an effect of the light; the front of the house wasn't blushing.
We were late in the season for the famous Azalea Walk, but there were other things blooming in the famous gardens. The house belonged to Miss Ima Hogg, who created the gorgeous gardens while designing the landscape to leave some parts wild. She donated the house and grounds to the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston in the 50s. Would you like to comment?Sign up for a free account, or sign in (if you're already a member). |
