what a superb start to the 365 project. This
is such a radiant selfportrait. I want your
hair and your smile and your glasses, please.
SO cutely cool. 365 is so good for the soul,
and excellent for getting to know your
camera.
I couldn't find anything frumpy in this
shot no matter how hard I tried. You are
truly beautiful, and your spirit shines out.

Yay! You'll love it. Yeah, some days you'll
want nothing more than to just take a shot of
your feet and move on. And to that I say,
snap the feet and move on! I started for a
lot of the same reasons you are, except I
wasn't getting a divorce when I started. That
came during! But, it has helped me look at
myself differently. Not all the time, but
there is vast improvement. Vast.

How wonderful that you're taking this leap of
faith in yourself by doing this project.
You've once again inspired me, and though
I'm terrified, I'm going to join in! I got a
new camera for Christmas, and this is a great
way to put it to good use and challenge
myself at the same time.

far myself!
Oh and BTW- as far as #2 on your list:
you're beautiful and don't ever feel
disposable anymore. I know I have felt that
way a lot in my life. Disposable, rejected
etc, etc. It's an awful way to feel...but
before I even knew about this project, I made
a promise that 2008 would be my year to
really enjoy and appreciate myself (well,
hopefully one of many!) I think this project
will help a lot of us feel good about
ourselves again. I really hope it does for
you...best wishes!

This is a fantastic self portrait to kick off
your 365! Good luck with it and make sure you
get everything out of it that you want to. I
can't begin to tell you the amount of
satisfaction you'll get from finishing it -
I'm now into my second year, just. And
however you feel about yourself now, just
read all of these comments and believe them -
you have a beautiful face and smile and it
shows in your eyes too. This is such a
beautiful simple photo and perfect for the
beginning of such a great journey. Good luck!

welcome aboard Carla!! I started this on Jan
1st because I felt the need to challenge
myself in photography and like many others
here, I dont like seeing myself on film,
when I saw so many beautiful woman and cool
looking guys doing 365 for reason #2 I
couldn't get it, why would they feel that
way? then I started and realized how much I
hate shooting myself. I guess it gets us all
really, low self esteem strikes everyone, we
all just deal with it in different ways.
hopefully a year of cheesing for the lens
will break us all out of that mold.
I for one am glad to have yet another
partner on this journey!

Just thought I ought to point out that I'm
not stalking you, lol! I've just been
walking backwards through the last four
months of your life because I've been
intrigued by at least one thing on every page
of your photostream - either an image, or the
first few words of your descriptions.
And even though it was backwards, I
recognised the rhythms. I'm inspired to
start another 365 of my own (made it to 210
last time) very soon. Thank you.
