bamboo scaffolding

The building construction (and there is a lot of it here as Pune is growing by leaps and bounds) is done with cranes in general, but facing and other work is via bamboo scaffolding that may look a bit rickety, but is amazing in it's strength.

The bamboo itself is often as strong as steel. It's the lashings that would make me cringe. :)
