just now as i was uploading this, i heard a noise outside, thinking there was a dog in the backyard (am upstate) and i looked up from the computer to see a baby deer staring back at me through the screen door. about a foot away. it ate an apple off the ground. it was so close i could see the apple sliding down it's throat. didn't want to get up to get a camera, was afraid i'd scare it away. magical little creatures.
